Boston Whaler Guardian/Montauk 17

This is a 1989 Boston Whaler 17 Guardian that was completely redone with new awlgrip, inside and out, about 5 years ago. So it is not a “new” resto. There are a few blemishes in the splash well area and above the access door to the console. The Guardian line is known for its heavier fiberglass layup for commercial and govt uses. It is a confirmed Guardian by Chuck Bennett at Boston Whaler. The motor is a 2000 Johnson 90 oil injected 2 stroke with 135 psi on all 4 cylinders, and a stainless prop. The boat has two gas tanks, one under the leaning post seat and one under the console. In the console behind the small sliding doors are two 12v plug ins for phone chargers or an air pump, etc.The boat had most of its small fittings in the stern and the nav light powder coated black. It has a brand new battery and the boat itself only has about 68 hours of use on it since it’s makeover. The trailer has new bunks, brackets and u-bolts. New tires 7/19/18. The boat comes with a new Garmin 7sv with side vu and down scan, it comes with a Garmin cv51m-tm transducer ($499) for serious crisp and accurate info. Rpm gauge works intermittently. Push/pull switches. Locking doors for leaning post. Carbs and service was done in March. New fuel line replaced June 2018. The boat comes with safety equipment, bouys and anchor. VHF works. Also comes with a Bimini top, a cover for the console, a cover for the leaning post seat, a cover for the motor cowling and a full boat cover. All professionally made. No soft spots anywhere. Transom solid.
