Up for auction is a very well maintained 1989 Chaparral 187 XL Bowrider w/ 3.8L OMC Cobra Inboard/Outboard, boat and trailer. This was a one owner, garage kept and stored for the last 9 years boat and trailer purchased from an estate sale. I am the second owner of this boat and trailer and just got done going over the boat and trailer getting it ready to use for this boating season. I had the boat and trailer fully restored and serviced by a professional boat and marine center. Since then, other financial obligations have resulted in my having to sell this boat and trailer. I have invested ~$2500 in service and reconditioning work, I have all receipts for the work I had done to the boat and trailer. I also have the original manuals, original bill of sale and a clear PA title for both the boat and trailer. MUST SELL!
:This ~19' boat is very clean and has bucket seats, stainless steel bow rails, two 1/2 dive platforms, a fully carpeted floor, two lounge areas and a sun deck. The bimini top, bow cover, boat cover and trailer are all included. I feel the Buy-It-Now (BIN) price is very reasonable when compared to similar boats of this year and in this good of condition. So, first come, first served with the BIN and all offers will be reviewed. I reserve the right to end this auction early, as this boat and trailer are also listed for sale locally.
Mechanically, the boat and trailer are sound and the boat runs well and drives very well. The engine is very strong, top speed is over 50 MPH and it will easily pull one or two water skiers. The trailer tires, wheels and bearings were also replaced and the tires have excellent tread with very little use. The boat is equipped with navigational lights, full instrumentation, AM/FM cassette stereo sound system with two water resistant speakers, aluminum fuel tank with electric fuel gauge, battery box, cigarette lighter, horn, electric blower and electric bilge pump, all in working order. Also included are a set of four docking fenders/bumpers, paddle, docking rope, galvanized anchor with 5' rubberized chain and 150' of attached anchor rope.
Cosmetically, the boat and trailer are in great shape. Paint is still shiny and the interior is clean and hasn't been abused, it also has a folding center cockpit window to enter the bow from the cabin. This boat and trailer combo new in 1989 had a list price of just slightly over $15,000 and to buy an equivalent size Chaparral boat and trailer today, would be a list price of slightly over $35,000.
