I'm guessing you will never have the to purchase a new 1979 Checkmate Persuader 18', again! This boat is still on the MSO, the interior is original and perfect, the original gel-coat has zero scratches or fading it's not even been waxed. It's never had an engine installed. All wiring, plumbing and controls are complete This is the info I received on the Berkley pump from Berkley, which is also new and never used: "The BM number shows this pump to be a 1977 model 12JF with an A cut stainless impeller." It was purchased new by a local boat dealer in 1979 for his own personal use. A few years earlier he purchased 3 450hp/454 Chevy LS6 engines from a local Chevy dealer. I actually purchased 2 of those engines from him about 20 years ago ( The engines are no longer available). He just never got around to putting it together and it so it sat the next 41 years in his warehouse. The tilt trailer goes with it. It has also never been in the water. I took the first pictures on a cloudy day, the later close ups were in the sun. The phrase " time capsule" is often over used but not in this case, this boat is in NEW condition!
