BOAT WAS PULLED AND WINTERIZED 10/13/18 and ran well. It was fogged and pink anti-freeze added to all fresh water systems and heat exchanger / raw water pump. The Prestone anti-freeze was tested and was perfect. This will be last time boat is listed. Otherwise it gets covered and I will fix the few minor issues over the winter and list for alot more $$$ in March for the new season. Boat is at 1272 Tryon Street Portland CT and can be viewed there.
1979 Grady White Kingfish 254 with 2014 FWC small block Chevy 260 HP into a Volvo Penta Duo Prop 290 with Hydraulic trim and tilt. Boat was redone with new gelcoat, transom and stringers are perfect it is what it is---a very good fishing boat that looks and runs good with a few issues. Them being 1) the motor Is fresh water cooled and has low hours --BUT-- was used in salt water and tinwork on engine is crusty. I was going to pull engine, pressure wash, paint and re-install but I never got to it. I also have a minty Volvo Penta full dress Small Block Chevy that I was contemplating simply pulling first engine and dropping in second. The second engine will go with the boat as part of the sale. 2) The ignition switch / starter relay acts up and sometimes boat wont crank. I rigged up a bypass and was going to re-do all connections but again never accomplished. 3) the prop cone 8 mm lock bolt broke off in end of prop shaft and because I would need to pull boat out of slip to fix I just left it as a winter project. This boat is solid, has power steering and has been very good to us. It now needs some love and I cant accomplish so its here for a fair price. There is a trailer included--no papers... I ran on home made trailer plates. Trailer got all new rims, tires, hubs, bearings, springs, shackles, hardware etc all last fall. Everything new but lights... again I never got too. With some TLC over the winter this will make someone an awesome fishing boat. There is a Garmin and Lowrance unit in boat that needs to be hooked up. Interior is dated but passable and easily would sleep 2 kids and 2 adults. Please email with questions... I could type for days about this boat and the good times. Ive just tried to be completly honest with what it needs. Its life is nowhere close to over.... it just needs someone that can be more dedicated to it. Boat is advertised locally and should I get decent offer with no action here on Ebay I reserve right to end auction. Boat currently sitting in slip in CT river and has been there for 2 seasons.
