This 2000 Mariah bow rider has a cracked block from freezing temps. It was shutdown while running but water had entered the engine. Mariah boats were top of the line at the time this one was built. They are very heavy built boats but this one still ran 53 mph with the 4.3 liter v6. The interior of this boat also needs replacing. After deliberating over it I have decided to sell.
I received quotes of $3k for a complete long block with exhaust manifolds and $2,500 for full interior. So for $5,500 plus sale price and a good compounding you could have a top of the line like new boat.
2 years ago this boat had a full tune up done including the drive unit being completely gone through replacing the drive shaft because of a failed seal.
The trailer has some rust as seen in pics but the tires and bearings are only 2 years old. I pulled this boat 100 miles last weekend and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. I planned to sandblast and paint the trailer if I kept the boat.
This is a 17 year old boat and not in perfect shape but it is very solid other than the engine and interior. This boat cuts chop and is much more stable than cheaper brands. It was originally built to contend with cobalt, master craft, bryant and the like.
