I’m moving up to the O’day 322 if I sell by mid April- ……O’day 272 is by far O’days best made sailboat with the most interior space of any 27 foot sailboat. Length is 27 feet, beam is 9 feet and head room in the main saloon is 6’ 1” feet! With this boats design, all deck fixtures and thru-bolts are easily accessible and easily monitored for leaks from the cabin. This boat is very dry with no leaks from above or below! Teak wood interior is in excellent shape and finish…the exterior teak trim is in fine shape, clean and protected with “Epefanes" varnish. This 272 was made and outfitted with an outboard. This gives more space inside for storage, no leaky thru-hull shafts to worry about, less vibration, no interior noise and smells while motoring. The interior is very clean and like new! Cushions for the cabin, cockpit and “extender” cushions for a Queen Main Saloon bed. This 272 comes with a tiller which leaves much more space in the cockpit than a wheel. Bottom has been cleaned and painted…nice smooth bottom for speed! The 272 has a draft of 2’ 11” with its awesome wing keel that’s still being copied today by Hunter, Beneteau and Catalina. The 272 is extremely easy to single hand…all lines to the cockpit. Very nice solo sailing on this very clean boat!

The Trailer is made by Triad. New!… made for this O’day 272 and can be used for the Cape Dory without modifications. I have done extensive research before making this purchase. I narrowed it down to about 3 manufacturers that I trusted..I can tell you Triad is the best made trailer out there and the quality surpasses all the competition. The trailer is 100% galvanized. I had several options and designed it with components that are tried and true and used successfully for decades on trailers for years. It has screw pads which make painting the bottom easy and gives the best adjustable support. The keel guides make launching and retrieving a breeze! The keel guides, keel support and pads are covered with marine grade carpet. It has an extra large bow and winch ladder which make it easy to work the winch. This is a Duel axel trailer, inspected and ready for long hauls.

The Benefits of a boat on trailer….? I have to say you will save tremendously not having to pay for winter storage. You will be free, Not subjected to Marina fee’s and services.
