Higgins Speedster

Description

1947 Higgins Speedster. This boat came to me from a collection of boats owned by a friend locally. I have several plaques from the boat winning first place awards from the 1990's in boat shows in the Northeast. The good is the boat has an incredible finish and interior is perfect. The Grey Marine 105 runs excellent. The bad is the boat will need a bottom. The whole bottom is not rotted but to fix it the entire bottom will need replacement. I see prices on these all over the place. They are a plywood bottom and not super hard to do as a planked bottom. Higgins is a unique boat and has an interesting history as Andrew Jackson Higgins has much credit for boat building during WWII. I am open to offers and will not deal with low ball offers. Eventually if I do not sell it I will replace the bottom. Trailer is in very good condition and can be towed easily anywhere.
