Description

"RESERVE PRICE IS BELOW THE BUY IT NOW PRICE"

I am listing this “Gently sailed” one owner 2006 Schock Harbor 20 for an elderly gentleman who’s sailing days, sadly to say, are falling behind him. This is the finest 2006 H20 that will be found out there and after searching other listings, One of the best used H20 on the market of any year. This boat has been sailed in fresh water on Lake Decatur, Illinois all its life and to my knowledge has never been sailed in over 15 knots of breeze ever. It sees the water only 4 months out of the year and is well covered and winterized on the trailer the rest of the time. The bottom is new and was professionally painted with west marine semi ablative bottom shield antifouling paint. The Trailer is in excellent condition with great tires. The sails include a Main and roller furling Jib. There is no spinnaker. Other items include:

- Built in Digital Electric Motor that stores out of the way in the transom hold.

- Automatic bilge pump w/ check valve

- 2 : 1 jib outhaul

- Jib winger for down wind

- Mast hinge

- Adjustable jib downhaul

- Halyard hammock

- Lifting eyes

- Lifting sling

- C-Foam cockpit cushions (not shown)

- Cockpit cover w/jib sock – “toast” color (not shown)

- Pacific Highway trailer w/ mast carriers, ladder and keel guide

- Main and Jib sails – Elliott/Pattison

- Mainsail Lazy Jacks

- Clear Illinois title for both boat and trailer

Manufacturer notes:

The Harbor 20 was designed wit simplicity in m9nd and a competitive spirt at heart, whether sailing upwind or down wind. The roller-furling fractional headsail and self-tacking club boom Jib help the H20 practically sail itself upwind. When running wing-and-wing off the wind, the club boom acts as a vang, effortlessly holding out the jib. The full-battened main stows neatly on the boom using lazy Jacks. Finally, the control panel just behind the mast is centralized convenience at its very best.

Control Panel

All halyards and lines are led below the deck to Harken hardware mounted on a shelf at the aft edge of the cuddy cabin. This sensible design keeps the deck clean and also simplifies sail control. Everything is in easy reach for the skipper and crew.

Club Boom

The self-tacking Hoyt club boom makes short-tacking up the harbor very easy indeed.

Roller Furler

In seconds the jib rolls out, and off you go. When you return to the dock, just roll the jib back up and cover it with the canvas jib sock

Comfortable Cruising

The Harbor 20’s accommodating cockpit holds up to eight crew and no one needs to sit on the rail to balance the boat, or duck under the boom when tacking. Deep coamings provide comfortable back support, and two easily accessible built in ice chests quickly render your favorite refreshments.

Competitive Racing

The Harbor 20’s 900 lb. bulb keel keeps the weight low in the water. This keel design gives the boat plenty of stability without slowing the boat down in light air with excessive weight. The Harbor 20’s excellent performance makes it a natural club racer. W.D. Schock builds the Harbor 20 to tight one-design class rules, already written and established for fair and competitive racing

Performance Characteristics

The sleek lines of the Harbor 20 are a blend of the traditional shapes of the turn of the century and a new higher performance designs of today. A fine entry with firm bilges and a long run aft give the boat high speed potential, high stability, and the ability to move smoothly through choppy water. The Harbor 20’s rudder is placed well aft, and the keel has good lateral plane, providing exceptional directional stability.

$500 Deposit due 48 hours after the auction has ended or when the Buy-it-now price is accepted.
