Description

Due to a life change, I am offering our 1980 Lancer 36' sailboat, "Integrity". She is an oldie, but a goodie. She has lived in freshwater most of her life on the great lakes and was stored on the hard during the winter. I brought her down to Corpus Christi, Texas to learn how to sail during the last part of 2013. The standing rigging was carefully inspected during this time and any stays needing replacement were replaced. The chain plates and mast step were inspected by a master rigger. This is truly a wonderful, fast and forgiving boat to sail. The full 6'2" keel (4000# ballast), 10,500# displacement gives the boat stability on all points of sail. Let me take you on a tour from the bottom up. Boat was hauled in March 2016 and the bottom was refinished. The hull was in good shape with no blistering. The rudder and through hulls were checked. There our some minor scrapes above the water line. On the starboard side there is some dock rash, but is cosmetic and not a structural issue. The topsides have some minor crazing in the glass. A prior coating has been removed for coating. It was my intention coat with non skid Durabak, but have not completed that task. The fiberglass engine hatch cover in the cockpit needs reinforcement (minor repair). The teak handholds on the topside have been striped and need refinishing. The life lines are in good shape. One life line stanchion on the port side has a leak that needs to be sealed and reinforced. The portlites are of plastic and some of them have been chipped, and need to be rescreened. If I were not selling the boat, I would replace the portlights. Lewmar self tailing winches are in good shape with extra handle. The 2 topside hatches are in good shape. The steering pedestal has an oversized wheel for easy steering. On the pedestal are mounted a gimballed compass, knot meter, depth sounder, wind speed, wind direction, autohelm, Furuno radar, chartplotter, throttle & shifter. There is a recently tested propane tank in the rear cockpit locker (new shutoff solenoid) in a Seeward enclosure . There is a wind generator (uncertain about condition). There are two solar panels that i believe do not function. The SSB radio needs a new antennae. that The standing rigging and Doyle mainsail and jib are in good condition. Main sail track & sail slides were recently upgraded and lazy jacks added for easy single handing. The NorthSails rolling furling is in good condition. There is one extra sail (jib?). The bow has an anchor locker with a large amount of anchor chain which is in good condition. There is a Lofrans electric anchor windlass in good condition. There is a plow anchor in good condition. Boat comes with a number of dock lines and bumpers all in good to fair condition. Integrity survived hurricane Harvey unscathed. The mainsail canvas cover, pedestal cover, hatch cover have another year or two of life. There is a dodger which is stored below. It is in good condition. The main hatch, cabin door, stairs and companionway are in fair condition. The teak bulkheads are in fair condition. The cabinets are a bit dated. The holly cabin sole is in fair shape. The upholstery is a maroon/white fabric and is in fair to poor shape. T Cabin lights have been upgraded to LED. There is a Norcold refrigerator and a large built in ice box. There is a stainless steel galley sink, with a new raw water pump and fresh water (from tank) pump. There is hot water heater (never used - condition unkown). There is a toilet room with stand up shower. The toilet a Groco hand pump model. Bilge pump and float switch were replaced prior to Harvey. The countertops are maroon formica, with some staining. There is a DC and an AC electrical panel. The DC electrical system consists of 2 each 12 volt batteries, with a marine charger connected to shore power. There are two dock lines supplying AC power. One for the AC boat systems, One for the A/C system. The wind generator and solar panels connect to the system (have not been tested for charging). There is a propane stove/oven with gimballs in good condition. There is a Ocean Breeze marine air conditioning system that was installed by previous owner in 2013 (there appears to be a control problem, maybe thermostat?). Included are many spare parts, tools, PFD's, etc. Included are most of the equipment documents and service manuals, including a service manual for the Yanmar diesel. Integrity is a complete boat that with just a little TLC will be ready for the high seas.
