The Freedom 42/45 CC renowned for their build quality, ease of handling & performance, and she is a proven passage making sailing vessel. Freedoms are known for being able to be sailed single handed, in even the most trying conditions, forgiving, and a real pleasure to sail. They are great boats for a cruising couple! With a generous interior salon and impressive accommodations this true blue water cruiser should please the most demanding of sailors or invited guests aboard. "Free Spirit" also benefits from a superb hull and deck condition (no osmoses), many extra cruising, navigation and other functional equipment that make for a very safe and comfortable cruiser/ live aboard.
The innovative design and sophisticated construction are the hallmarks for the Freedom 42/45. When you approach this boat at the dock and gaze upon the free standing carbon fiber spar, uncluttered by shrouds and spreaders, one has a sense that something is missing. But don't be fooled, behind this ostensible aura of simplicity lies the complexity of carbon fiber spar construction. This boat was designed by Gary Mull and the hull was built by the renowned Tillotson-Pearson Yard to USCG, NMMA, NFPA codes and offshore racing council safety regulations. She is a blue water capable vessel with a beautiful teak wood interior. The brilliance of this design is only really appreciated when single handedly short tacking the boat without leaving the helm station.
Free Spirit, hull #1 of the Freedom 45 series, without the sugar scoop transom, making her 42 ft with LOA 44"11, and has been maintained and constantly upgraded.
