For sale is my vintage 1990 Fiberglass Baja Bowrider boat,I/OMotor & Trailer. It has a GM V6 4.3L with an Alpha1 1 out drive. It has a sundeck & swim platform. See images. The problem with the boat is that the motor has not run since May 2016. Went I went to run motor in June 2016, it would not turn over. I just get a single click. When we went out in May the boat ran excellent. I pulled the starter and had it checked out. It was in good working order according to the Advance Auto Parts Store. I do not know what the problem could be. I am not a boat mechanic and I can't afford to hire a mechanic at this time. Also the last time I took out the boat, the bilge pump was running frequently & is getting water into the bilge. I had a boat mechanic take a look at the problem and he diagnosed it as having a leak in the Y pipe behind the motor. He said that would require pulling the motor because the y pipe is in between the rear of the engine and the transom. That was before the motor stopped turning over. Since the motor would not turn over, I figured I would have the motor block rebuilt when I had it pulled it out to replace the Y pipe even though it had low hours. The reason why I have decided to sell is because of hurricane Matthew. I live on the coast in Daytona Beach Florida and the hurricane did some major damage to my home. It has taken a toll on our lives and our more so on our finances. I have come to realize that I am not going to be able to have my boat repaired. I still need a partial roof on my house and no money to do it. My boat is kept inside a 20' x 40' storage unit that was not affected by the hurricane.
