1999 BAJA 272 Boss Package Only 247 Original hours on Hull, 2 hours on completely rebuilt driveline/engine
I will start out with explaining that I have personally restored this Baja top to bottom. I build and restore watercraft for a profession; this boat was in the best hands in the business. This Baja was to be my personal boat, no expense was spared!
The specs:
Engine- 502ci MPI race spec bored with hone plate to 509ci MPI, Manley forged pistons (compression 9.5:, pump gas safe, head work includes proprietary porting and valve angles, complete build top to bottom by a very respectable local machine shop. Horsepower- 500+ on pump fuel!
Drive- Factory Bravo 1, completely rebuilt top to bottom. New aftermarket trim/tilt hydraulics.
Transom plate- Completely removed from the hull, checked for cracks and checked hull for moisture content. The hull is as bone dry as the day it came off the assembly line from the factory. New OEM Mercury parts include: New gimbal, new bellows, new shift cables, new linkage, upgraded brass drive lube fitting, upgraded gimbal bushing's, new trim sensors.
Fuel system- Tank internally has been thoroughly cleaned/swabbed top to bottom, new sending unit, new "Cool Fuel" system including pump. Injectors have been ultrasonically cleaned and flow tested to Mercury OEM specs.
Engine electronics- All sensors, distributor, ignition module, plug wires, bearings, pulleys have been replaced with OEM Mercury parts. Factory starter motor and alternator have been professionally rebuilt to Mercury OEM specs. NO CHINA PARTS HERE!
Cabin/Cockpit electronics- Updated with LED lighting, all new backlit switches on helm, all new Gaffrig OEM Racing Gauges, new horn, new depth finder. Original trim tab indicator/system.
Interior- Cabin has a completely new headliner and firewall lining. Interior throughout the cabin and cockpit is original and in Very Good condition for its age.
Canvas- Brand new custom made black cockpit cover, made from TopGun material. Fits perfect to the boat!
Engine bay- So clean you could eat off it, literally! While engine/drive/transom plate were out, we completely steam cleaned the entire engine bay.
Highlights- Captain's call/silent choice thru hull exhaust, 500+ HP engine, nearly everything NEW, built by a very reputable company, built for the company owner's expensive taste. Too much to list; this description does very little justice. This Baja is a must see!
This Baja is in 100% turn key condition, it needs NOTHING. Currently only has 2 hours on brand new everything! This boat will run flawlessly for many years before it will need even the slightest maintenance outside of oil changes and winterizing. You will not find a cleaner and better maintained Baja anywhere!
