2007 Bayliner 288 Discovery
2007 Bayliner
Description
If you have been looking for the perfect pocket cruiser look no further!!!!!! Up for sale is my 2007 Bayliner Discovery. I am the second owner of this beautiful girl. I recently purchased it from Sea ray of Louisville who purchased from a guy down in Tennessee who kept her under cover and on a floating dock her entire life!! She had approx 80 hours when I purchased her now she has 95. The only reason I am selling is because I have only used her 5 times since I purchased her. My company is getting crazy busy and I decided to take a break from boating to focus on that. I do not have to sell her so please don't waste my time with lowball offers. With that being said lets get started with the good.

She runs fantastic. I had my doubts but when the salesman took us out, we had 5 people with 3/4 tank of fuel. 4400 rpms about 36 WOT. cruises nicely at 28 mph. Planes great. I have read that you can get a significant amount of extra performance from the Hill Marine 4 x 4 props.
Overall for the age she is a 10/10. However I will give the interior a 9/10 and exterior an 8.5/10. I took pictures of what little damage there is to the exterior.
She has TONS of cabinets and storage space. Easily pack enough items to stay for extended 4-5 day trips.
There's only a few things I know that need addressing. The DVD player is not working. I am going to play with it this weekend and see if it's just a bad connection. The AC will freeze up after a day or so running wide open. It cools down the interior nicely but after a while will freeze. Pretty sure it might need a little r-22 which I have a can of. The fabric on the edge of the forward bed has some wear. It looks like where people were sitting on the edge.
She will come turnkey with fenders, ropes, orange life vests 1/2 tank or more of fuel, and a handful of other items. Offer full asking price and she will come with a 75 YETI tundra.
Slips paid for thru april next year if you want to keep slip. We would have to discuss with harbormaster. There is no trailer so you are responsible for transportation. I encourage you to come sea trial, send a mechanic or a surveyor. This one of a kind boat is going to make someone very happy. She's priced to sell (check out listings for comparable boats) and with the age, condition, hours you are getting a brand new boat for less than half the purchase price.
