1989 Bayliner Command Bridge Model 2958...Twin 5.0 L
1989 Bayliner 2958 Command Bridge
Description
The boat is a fresh water boat with twin 5.0l motors. The boat was put in storage in running condition about 4 years ago and has not been started since, but it was fully winterized at that time. I had the marina put new zinks and new stabilizer in the fuel. I also had the boat made ready for the trip to Ca. by lowering the arch and securing the drives up. It should have a full bridge enclosure. I have not seen the boat but the owners of the marina have the full service and history records which seemed ok to me. The marina owners Norm or Bernie.told me the boat has had little use and one motor was replaced due to running on low oil level. The estate had warning alarms put on the motors and that the water heater needed to be replaced. They did not have any thing else negative to say about the boat. Please call for the number of the marina.John 562 787 0260
ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS
When Ipurchased the boat I gave the marina an open check book to maintain and fix whatever was necessary. I had the marina check the bellows and gimbal bearings and they were fine. When I had the zinks replaced the marina had me remove and reinstall the drives which cost $$$. The lube in the drives was new. The estate told me the boat came with a full bridge cover and a bridge cover also new props. I did verify with the marina that extra canvas was on board.
The arch is hinged at the base and if you look very closely at picture 1 you may see it. this allows the arch to rotate down and complete removal is not necessary. The marina is full service and can load the boat on a trailer. The marina has lost faith with me because I did not move the boat as promised, but I am sure they will be happy to accommodate a new owner.
The boat is in Charlevoix,Michigan.
