1987 Boston Whaler Outrage 22 Cuddy Fresh Water 2003 Mercury 225 w/30 hours
1987 Boston Whaler 22 outrage cuddy
Description
I purchased this boat from the original selling dealer who was selling it for the original owners estate. Used very, very little in fresh water only near Frankfurt Michigan. The hull is a 1987 Boston Whaler 22 Outrage Cuddy with the upgraded super console and rear bench seat. The 2003 Mercury Optimax has around 35 hours total and has received a full Mercury authorized dealer inspection and tune. Anything that had the potential for failure was replaced. New water pump and lower unit oil. The kicker is a 2014 Mercury 9.9 hp Big Foot motor and has less than one hour of use. The trailer is a 1992 Eagle tandem axle with surge brakes. The trailer has five new tires and one axle has new bearings. Trailer needs a slack absorbing shock in the coupler, all else seems to be working fine. I ran a moisture meter all over this hull and found it to be extremely dry for a Whaler. Slightly elevated in a couple small areas of the transom, and also by the fuel filler tube on the port side (I think the tube was throwing off the meter). There are a few minor interior cracks and that is it. This hull is amazing and is an untouched original fresh water low hour hull. The original owner bottom painted the boat for when he kept it in the water on weekends. I removed the paint and re-applied Petit in the gel coat color. Bottom paint looks beautiful. Everything works. I have also installed a wireless transducer for use with my iPad (see mount on dash). I use the $9.99 Avionics app and it works perfectly with the transducer.
Boat comes with ship to shore and a cracked antenna (repair or replace). New Bimini top is very heavy duty and of high quality. Flares, life vests, anchor, a few lines, boarding ladder, porta-potty(new unused), storage cover, console cover, etc.
I am offering the boat to consider purchase of a completely open-zero maintenance(as much as possible) boat that will accommodate my spine, knee, hip, and run away arthritis. A hose and go hull with easy access to the water. I am not a motivated seller. This boat is a very rare find in this condition and we had a great time this summer exploring the islands of Lake Michigan and Superior. I want to find something that is easier to keep clean, easier for me to get on and off of, and easier to anchor. I will sell the boat for $2,000 less if you don't want the 9.9 Big Foot.
Sold "as is" and "where is " with buyer to handle all transport. Boat is indoor stored in Harbor Springs, MI. Please email with questions. Thanks for looking!
