Folks I have been in the boat business for 26 years, I've seen these boats a lot through the years but not in this condition!
This Montauk was always very well maintained and taken care of with lots of TLC and it shows!
The owner had the boat repowered in 2008 with the correct engine! The 90 hp Yamaha is the best 2-stroke engine they ever made! There light weight, very powerful, bullet proof and last forever.
The engine is very quiet, very smooth, very fuel efficient with very low hours! These engines are also very very low maintenance. Previous owner only used none ethanol premium fuel and only YAMALUBE 2-STROKE OUTBOARD OIL.
He also always kept YAMALUBE fuel stabilizer and fuel conditioner in the fuel tank as well during the off seasons.
Off course it got a new Yamaha Single binnacle control box that is extremely smooth shifting, and both new Yamaha gauges. Not just tied in to a old control box and gauges.
The trailer isn't very old at all! It had all! Last spring it had all new bunk brackets, springs, wheel bearings and just recently brand new wheels and tires with less than 15 miles on them. Even the trailer still shines as new! He kept everything on this package to perfection! She pulls perfect and ready to go anywhere! The trailer also has nice loading guides with colored tops to see them very easy when unloading or Loading.
He also added a new depth finder fish finder over this past winter along with a new Bimini top.
Also has new top quality marine battery that is on a nice skid resident matt under the console. Not in the back where it takes up room and stubbing toes.
Just a all around very sweet package that is extremely hard to find in this condition!

The hull shines like brand new, all original decals still look and shine like new.
very expensive detailed starboard material that will last for ever without the maintenance. This was a total professional job! It is as detailed as the original teak and probably better. New Fuel tank from Boston Whaler less than 2 years ago. The only Teak left is the rear swim latter. Being a 1986 it does have some cosmetic things. There are a few very minor scratches, a few small chips here and there. All hardly noticeable.
The 2008 Yamaha Outboard looks like it just come out of the box! No fading whats so ever. No scratches on the hood. Look brand new inside and out! Also Stainless steel prop doesn't have a ding on it.
The rub rail on the boat is all original and show absolutely no signs of any hard impacts at all! It is in near perfect Condition!
