We have a contract on a house so we are quickly selling our 1983 Carver 36 aft cabin. ONLY SERIOUS BIDDERS PLEASE. Here is your chance to get a solid older boat with newer engines, transmissions, air conditioners, electric 12 volt toilets, water heater, fridge, ice maker, and a solid hull. Front and back bedroom TVs included in deal along with the fairly new sofa and chair. April 22, 2017 we pulled boat and had the marina scrape and clean the bottom and applied 2 quarts of bottom paint (see pictures) and new heavy zincs. As part of the package we are selling the West Marine Dinghy (inflatable, aluminum floor, 9.9 mercury). I forgot to inflate and look at the dingy but it is about 7 years old. Could probably sell them as a separate item for about $500 pretty quick to give you a feel. I haven't used the inflatable in 4-5 months so engine might be a little hard to start at first but it ran great the last time I used it. The inflatable is in good shape but has a patch or two (no leaks). We have used this boat as a beach house for the last ten years with a yearly trip from Anna Maria to Sanibel island and a couple of short trips to Egmont key. It has (3) air conditioners, a bathtub, two showers, a large kitchen table and is extremely comfortable to sleep in. That being said, this is an older boat being sold as is. We put two new fuel injected, internally cooled 6.2 liter, mercruiser engines with matched transmissions in the boat in 2007. Engine serial numbers: Ow694483, 84. Engines are run every (2) weeks in the slip until temp normal. Marina recently replaced seawater pump in port engine. We have included April 22, 2017 movie of each engine starting and running while connected to diagnostic tool. TheDigital engine tester (few hundred dollars) sold with boat. Both engines have the standard (3)faultsthat they have always had and the port engine indicated low voltage so price buying a new alternator into any offer. All (3) marine air conditioners have been replaced on the boat in the last 2 years and we put a new icemaker and water heater in a couple years ago. Many pictures and a movie of the engines running have been attached to show the different systems. This boat does not have a generator as we switched over tousing a Honda portable on the very few nights we camp behind an island every year. Honda generator notincluded but all the exhaust, water and fuel hookups are there should you want to add a marine generator back in. I have a non working generator that's pickled in my garage if you want to attempt to fix and install vs. buying a new one, (its an exact replacement to oldgenerator but its been sitting for acouple of years because the Honda generator is too easy to use). The top canvas is in good shape and I put plexiglass windows on the front of it. The two side panels on the top are showing their age. I noticed the top steering station felt like it needs to have hydraulic lines pumped up and bled.....bottomstation is fine. There are a lot of parts and systems on this boat and I am trying to describe every problem and include lots of pictures but I'm sure I missed something. Will sell anchors, lines, GPS, depth finder, bumpers, stainless grill....pretty much everything except personal items and kitchen dishes/silverware. I will do my best to answer questionswhile the boat is up for sale but I will not take people out on the water for rides. When you bid, factor in thatthis is an older boat and we do not have time to fix it up or demo it. We will tell you our family loves using this boat as an inexpensive and very comfortable condo on the beach with an awesome view. We have taken it to Captiva Island or Key West all but one year since we bought it. It will get up on a semi-plane and go about 24 knots or cruise economically (for a boat this size) at around 12 knots. With the aft cabin there is a tremendousamount of storage for a 36 foot boat. I imagine it could be a great live aboard for 1-2 people. When you purchase boat I will commit to meeting you there for an hour or two and showing you everything I know about it.
