2005 Chaparral 255 SSI boat

Description

I have a 2005 Chaparral 255 SSI cuddy cabin for sale. It is a 26 foot boat with capacity for two to sleep on. It has an indoor head, a pressurized water system, swim platform shower, sink, dual battery switch with charger, and very comfortable to ride in. It can EASILY pull skiers, tubers, wake boarders. I have had 9 people on board at one time. I will include the trailer with purchase, the boat is about 6,000 pounds so you need a truck to pull it, but is not very difficult to haul around. I have had the boat at my lake in a covered slip and have not moved it from the lake for the last 5 years.
The Good:-I am the second owner of this boat and have cared for it wisely.-It runs great, I had it out this weekend and no problems. 50mph with full tank of gas.(80 gallons). Max speed is about 53 mph in the right conditions. It is has the sought after V-8 engine! Lots of boats this size are only 5.7.-It has the captains choice- (can make it rumble)-It has NEVER seen salt- IT has about 438 hours on it. I have had it serviced yearly, I have it winterized every year by someone, I have changed the impeller no longer than every two years.-It is in relatively good shape- I have put on a new steering wheel and replacement parts to keep it looking new.-It has a nice bimini top that shades nicely the whole cockpit and is in good shape- the lounge area can be set up to have as a lounger or eating area with table, the cabin does the same.
The needs: I like to disclose what she needs-- the prop has scratches and slight bent prop blade- I did this in the last few months in shallower water- I have not noticed any decreased performance of the boat (the boat itself did not ground)- the skeg has lost some of its length-- I was trailering it for service and didnt lift the prop and it grounded and broke-- there are plates that can be put on relatively cheaply.-there are several cushions with mold so yes, the skins likely should be replaced it you want her looking great (I have reduced the price of the boat secondary to this). There is one tear in the first mates chair.- the stereo needs to be replaced at some point-it is the stock radio and the cd part doesnt work, wont keep the pre-sets.-the overhead glass in the cuddy doesnt have its screen and needs some repair- seals fine but will only open all the way.-the boat has carpet but it is likely the original and some of the backing material beads off. You have the pieces so you can send to shop as template for new.- I only have a storage cover, so no cockpit covers.- there are one or two small gelcoat scratches from rubbing on the dock that are not very noticeable, otherwise the boat looks great.

Please look around the web- you will see this boat listing in the high 20k to 30k range when in great condition. This boat is probably in that category with a couple thousand in upgrades/repair. Chaparral has a write up on this boat from when they reviewed it in 2005 and has lots of specifics of the boat if interested. New- this boat was roughly 73K
I am not selling due to hardship or divorce or "too many toys". I like toys and will keep if doesnt sell and will continue to enjoy.
