Hull & Topsides:
This is a solid, seaworthy hull with rock hard transom and stringers. There are minor scuffs and scratches and a few small touch ups, but the hull has an excellent shine as seen in some of the pictures.
The helm area is in good shape with many new Teleflex Arctic gauges and some small custom touches. The helm and cockpit upholstery is clean and shows only a few areas of wear. The canvas is a couple of years old, was done by the best in the business in this area, and looks like it was made last week. It fits perfectly, windows are clear and there is no mildew or wear. There is a VHF radio and depth sounder as well.
The cabin is in similarly good condition for a boat this age with a large V birth, convertible dinette and aft cabin that sleeps 6. There is a 12,000 BTU A/C system, stand up head with porta potti (that can be plumbed for pump out) and shower.
The galley has a dual voltage refrigerator, two burner electric/alcohol stove and hot and cold pressure water system with cockpit/transom shower. The 4 speaker AM/FM CD stereo with USB and auxiliary inputs was installed 2 years ago. There is a flat screen TV with DVD as well. All cabin and exterior lighting works as it should.
There are large, molded fiberglass bench seats that go in the cockpit across the transom that have cushions and loads of dry storage in them. I’ve never used them, so they don’t appear in any of the pictures, but are included and I retained the hardware.
Engine Room & Driveline:
The engine compartment and bilge areas are clean and orderly with totally intact factory wiring and plumbing as you can see in the pictures. There are no “mystery wires” or alterations to explain or figure out. Dual starting batteries and single house batteries are fresh and strong.
The 350 CID GM V-8s run well, have professionally rebuilt carbs, the points have been replaced with Pertronics Ignitor electronic ignition conversions with high voltage coils.
The port engine has new exhaust manifolds and risers. Both engines have new silicone wires, caps and rotors as of last year.
The out drives have fresh oil in them, had all exhaust, U joint bellows and raw water pumps replaced in the spring of 2016. The props are stainless steel and free of damage.
USCG compliant safety equipment is on board and included.
What it Needs:
I mentioned the electronic ignition conversions. At the end of last season, I ran out of time and didn’t get the starboard side done. I have all the parts and instructions and plan to try to get that installed, but it’s an easy afternoon project if I don’t get to it.
The trim indicator gauges don’t work and rarely do. The gauges test fine, so it’s the sending units on the out drives. I’m a trim by the tach and the seat of my pants guy, so I don’t consider this an issue, but worthy of mention.
The starboard fuel gauge isn’t working right now. The port side sending unit’s cork float was saturated. It was changed and works fine. The starboard probably suffers from the same problem. This sending unit is less convenient to service and has been put off. Since the engines burn similar amounts of fuel and have independent tanks, I’ve gotten by just fine with one gauge for 4 years. I have a replacement float.
At 10’ 4” wide, the boat can be trailered, but there is no trailer. If a successful bidder comes with a trailer or flatbed truck, I will have the boat professionally loaded by travel lift at my expense. 4 custom made, steel jack stands are included for winter storage.
This is a good, clean boat that you don’t have to spend a month scrubbing before you’ll touch anything. Anyone shopping for used boats knows what I mean.
Included is a service manual and documentation for all systems and accessories on board.
The current NADA value is 15K to 17K.
A low reserve is set and I reserve the right to end this auction as the boat is also for sale locally.
Thank you for looking and good luck bidding!
