Chris Craft Commander
1969 Chris Craft
Description
I am regretfully selling my 1969 Chris Craft Commander. This has been a labor of love for the past several years. I am selling this WITHOUT the motors shown, however, these motors are available to purchase separately. I also have a brand new Westerbeke generator and a rebuilt Onan generator that are available. This boat has all new seats, counter tops, windows and tracks, upholstery on the seats (v-berth cushions have not been done yet, but I have the material for them), custom headliner with recessed dimming LED lights, new tile back splash with remote LED under counter lights, new Lewmar windlass and polished stainless steel Lewmar anchor, new teak covering boards on gunwales and transom, new teak swim platform with custom aluminum brackets, fresh red bottom paint (its dusty), most chrome has been done, new helm seats for the fly bridge, new Interlux gloss Hatteras white bilge paint, 2 new 100 gallon aluminum fuel tanks, new fiberglass mufflers, new dripless shaft seals, and the list goes on and on and on....
This boat has never lived in the water, it was originally delivered to it's first owner on the Chesapeake Bay where it was launched and retrieved daily and stored on a cradle in the boatyard, it was purchased by it's second owner at the same facility and used in the same manner. I purchased the boat from the second owner and it has lived in the building that it is shown in since then. I began the complete refit of this boat (project code name TD3....which I will explain to the winning bidder!) in 2011. Since then I have spent a lot of time and LOTS of money on this project! Unfortunately, I have come to the point where I will not be able to complete this project. Because of the amount of money invested here, I must sell the motors and generator separately. If you are interested in the entire package, I will entertain any reasonable offer. I have spent in excess of $28,000 on the boat and over $15,000 on the motors and generator. I am realistic in knowing that I will not recover all of this, but I could come close if I disassembled the boat and sold off the parts......which, my heart will not allow me to do!!! I have a reserve on the boat which is set at a fraction of the sum of the parts. Please ask any questions before bidding......I am very responsive and very interested in this going to a good home.
Thanks for looking!!
