1957 Chris Craft Continental 21 Feet. Very collectible vintage wooden runabout
1957 Chris Craft Continental
Description
Vintage collector's 1957 21' Chris Craft Continental runabout with fins. It has a 3M 5200 no soak bottom. Very good condition. 350Q Chris Craft motor with self-contained cooling system. Professionally restored and maintained over the past 10 years with 5200 no-soak bottom. Refinished in 2014 by Rob DaPron, one of the nation’s best restoration professionals. Wood and paint in very good condition. It has a 350Q freshwater cooled Chris Craft engine rebuilt by Bow Tie Performance, cylinders bored, new pistons, camshaft and prop. The motor has approximately 145 hours. New Aluminum fuel tank. Boat performs very well. Dual axle trailer in good condition with new disc brakes and tires. Front actuator/hitch folds back so it can fit in most garages. Previously owned by long-time active board member of Antique and Classic Boat who supervised the restoration. The boat resides in Ocean City, Maryland and is available for demonstration to serious buyers. This is a "user" boat, not a "show" boat, so it does have some slight imperfections, mainly with the interior upholstery. Overall, the boat is in great condition and looks great. It starts easily, idles and runs very well. The boat structure is solid, the bottom is sound and no need to be soaked before use because of the 3M 5200 bottom. The 350Q motor has a self-containing cooling system that uses raw water into a heat exchanged so the water does not enter the engine and can be use in fresh or salt water.
