1986 Donzi 22' Classic, navy hull, all original gel coat
2004 Wesco aluminum tandem axle trailer
383 Lunati Stroker motor
Bravo X outdrive
I purchased this boat sight unseen several months ago, and seller did not disclose that the engine had low compression. I had all 4 trailer tires replaced to make the trip from NJ to GA, inspected here by mechanic prior to running, and confirmed no compression on one cylinder. From what I can tell, everything else is solid. After speaking with previous owners, I've compiled the following information.
Engine has the following modifications:
High mag 4 bolt 010 block
Lunati pro mod crank
Lunati pro mod rods
Lunati pistons
Lunati rings
Lunati cam
Comp lifter
Crane chromoly rockers
Dart heads
Milodon windage tray
Aluminum pan
Aluminum timing cover
ARP S/S bolt set
Jacobs coil
Performer intake
Melling oil pump
Merc HP oil lines
Freshwater cooling system
Sea strainer
Gil headers
Outdrive is a diesel Bravo X
Hull has reinforced transom and stringer system done by glass guy from Hustler boats. A midship tank was added to transfer weight towards the stern and aid in bow lift, as well as extend the range if needed.
Compression numbers: 140, 160, 140, 120, 180, 80, 0, 150
I have not tried to polish the gel coat, but feel the hull sides would come out nice. The cap is more faded and has few nicks in the gel coat around the rub rail, but they are minor. Interior upholstery is original the best I can tell. I have not cranked the boat or checked to see what gauges work/don't work. The trailer is very road worthy, but the brakes are not hooked up. It has new tires and tail lights. The boat is being sold as is, as a project.
