1989 Grady White 20' Overnighter Walk Around Fishing Boat Yamaha F 200 4 Stroke
1989 Grady White Overnighter
Description
Hello and thank you for looking at my boat. A little backstory, I purchased this banked owned boat from an auction at the later part of last year. I am guessing the previous owner took a loan out on the engine and came upon hard times. The boat how you see it is how I purchased it. I bought a used trailer to transport the boat and hauled it home. I purchased this boat solely to use the engine on a project that never solidified and with an upcoming move and as much as I want to keep it, I could use the free cash and space rather than a nice boat. The engine is all that meant something to me, so I have never sea trialed or taken the boat out on the water. I purchased the boat, hauled it home 60 miles, started the engine and it has been in my driveway ever since. I am making no guarantees and my description is based upon my own visual inspection. The engine will start right up on its own and I would be happy to show any interested buyer it’s functionality. Please understand the boat will need some light TLC at minimum to be seaworthy (read full description) and test drives will not be available due to this reason. Now let’s get to the good stuff! Up for sale is my 1989 Grady White Overnighter 20’ Walk Around Cabin fishing boat. This boat is in overall good condition for the year and shows well. The boat was refitted with a Yamaha F200 is a 2013 model and starts up and runs great. I had a Yamaha dealership did a compression test and hour check on 3/9/20 and it’s showing 74 original hours and ~180 psi compression across the board. These hours will not go up as I am not using the boat. A seastar hydraulic steering system is installed. The hull is in fair condition with only minor wear and no major damage that I can see. The interior cabin is clean and the upholstery is in nice condition for the year. The boat has many creature comforts such as a portable head, raw water wash down, livewell, plenty of lighting, bimini top and more. The boat was bottom painted and will need redone in the next year or so. For a 1989 this boat appears to be very clean and well kept. The Yamaha F200 is very desirable and would cost in excess of $18,000 to replace/outfit. This engine is like new at 74 hours and is a good price just for the engine!!!! Again you are looking at a 1989 boat - not a new one and wear, small damages, light TLC should be expected. There are soft spots in the floor on the starboard side near the fuel tank. I do not know the condition of the fuel tank or if it’s been replaced. The transom visually appears to be solid. The hydraulic steering needs to be adjusted/bled as it has play in the steering wheel. No gauges or electronics come with the boat, they were removed when I purchased it. The engine starts right up and I can show that. The boat has a master disconnect installed and the batteries hold a charge well. The trailer is a late 90s, it’s in decent condition with brand new tires. Like mentioned I hauled the boat 60 miles, the trailer seems road worthy and the lights worked as they should. Before a long trip I would advise adjusting the trailer slightly for more tongue weight, I can assist. I have titles for both the boat and trailer. I believe this boat to be a great project and in my opinion could be a great boat with a little TLC. If the boat isn’t your style, the motor would be an excellent re-power candidate. At this price you are purchasing a boat, motor, and trailer combination for less than what these motors sell for used. I am located in Owings, Maryland 20736 which is 30 minutes south of Annapolis. I could possibly help with shipping this boat to you. Please message me for any questions. Cash only. The listed price is slightly negotiable. Would consider a trade for a nice jet ski (low hours, late model) + cash. $500 non refundable Paypal deposit due within 24 hours of purchase. Thank you for looking.
