You are looking at my beautiful custom built 30ftMagnum/Bertram Gentleman's Racer. It was built in the early 2000s and is comprised of the most advanced parts. It is powered by an Allison V1710 that runs and sounds unbelievable. The boat wasprofessionally engineered and no cost was spared. All the parts and component's were new (not rebuilt) including the engine. The engine was modernized with state of the art internals and a modern custom built ignition system. The boat runs and drives beautifully both at full speed and idling around. It was set-up to run on pump fuel and starts like your everyday driver. The hull was custom built by Calibre to exacting nautical engineering drawings using the latest composite and vacuum technologies. Every part was highly engineered right down to the fasteners. The boat is easy to drive and handles excellent in all water conditions with its 24 degree bottom and weight distribution. There is far to much to list.
Engine: Allison V1710-63 E6 series with modern updates following FAA guidelines. PD12K injection carburetor ismodified for marine use and low altitude level performance. Full MSD ignition with crank and cam pick-ups. Custom cast aluminum water-cooled exhaust manifolds and twin wall 6" stainless pipes. Modified for NGK 10mm spark plugs. Rev limited to 3000 RPM. The fully dressed engine weights just 1480lbs. The engine is fully closed cooled with twin 20 gallon heat exchangers. The engine is rated at 1525 HP with boost control. This boat has never seen the saltwater but is intended for use insaltwater.It also comes with original parts, manuals and a set of high twin wall pipes that bolt right in. I would also consider separating the engine if someone wanted to purchase the engine complete.I have all the serial numbers build data and books concerning the engine.
Driveline: SCS billet transfer box with 2:1 under drive. The transfer box auxiliary shafts run the Alternator, Raw water pump, Power steering pump and Dry sump oil pump for the gears and bearings. Two Borg Warner custom 9 plate transmissions with u jointed drive shafts. The entire driveline from the engine to the drives has u joints and is ultra smooth. The drives are Borg-warner Arnesons as used by the US navy and are fully hydraulic trim controlled. Large Mayfair external steering. ThePropeller'sare custom tailored to all around performance.
Hull & Interior: The hull was custom built and is 29.9" long with a 24 degree deadrise. The CG and placement of the powertrain component'swere incorporated in its construction. It is designed after the Magnum 27 Super Sport with a Bertram style upper deck. It has a heavy lay up with no wood and wasconstructed with full length bulkheads for strength in any sea. The interior is beautiful with full aircraft instrumentation and leather seating and a tilt wheel. The controls are all Gafrig.
Trailer: The trailer was custom built for the boat using the engineering drawings. It tows excellent. It has triple 5000lb axles with new Goodyear tires. It also has brakes on all three axles and a prop guard. It can be hooked and towed anywhere. It has never been in saltwater.
There is far to much to list here. This is my pleasure boat and it has clocked about 90 hours of use. It is one of the most beautiful boats in the world and is in concurs condition.
