Minifish (AMF) Sailboat with Jetwind Sail: The Nearest Thing to Foiling
1986 AMF Minifish Alcort Minifish
Description
For auction is an Alcort Minifish (12 foot version of the Sunfish) hull with a Jetwind sail. This is a crazy fast rig not for the meek of heart as the Jetwind was a fourteen foot board boat marketed by Sears similar to the Sunfish or Phantom fourteen foot board boats that came out in the seventies. Due to the design of the minifish hull, this combination is surprisingly stable in spite of being overpowered. So go out there and blast by those sunfish and lasers on the bay. It comes with two dagger boards, one for normal conditions, and a longer one for when it's really blowing. Also included is a sunfish style rudder with tiller extension. Both the hull and sail show signs of age with some chips in the gel coat and some small tears in the sail but otherwise it is in good used condition. I do not have a trailer for it but it can be roof-topped or you can slide it into the bed of your pickup. Happy bidding.
