Description

If you have seen the outstanding movie "Act of Valor" then you have seen what this boat is and what it can do.
This is a VERY RARE opportunity to own a 1992 "Riverine" decommissioned/demilitarized Special Forces/Navy S.E.A.L. type "SWCC" jet boat made by US Marine Inc. of Gulfport, Mississippi. As configured, this "fastboat" has a 650 (or higher) Horsepower Sea-Tek Italian Diesel Racing Engine, adapted for the US Military. These are also called "Fast Boats" but SWCC pronounced "swik" is the correct term.
You can also see Riverines in action on youtube under search:

This Riverine boat is currently in non-running condition but it is complete and assembled and hit also has a spare Zero-Time Engine and spare new Jet Drive. I intended to rebuild it and restore it as a tribute to the Heroes of our United States Navy and Special Forces, but I have not had the time to start work on this very important project.
This Riverine has been sitting for years stored and protected in a heated warehouse, protected from the cold, rain, snow, sun and other elements. This boat is not crashed (but for a bump on the nose that was repaired) and was not sunk or salvaged and overall the mechanical components are mostly good but clearly needing various maintenance and repairs. It was in use by a USA waterway foundation and developed engine troubles (no start-no run) just before I obtained it. This Riverine could be repaired and enjoyed or totally restored which is what I intended to do complete with mock-up armament for boat shows and a full tear down with restoration and camo paint!
The Sea-Tek 6-4v-10 turbocharged diesel marine racing engine is still installed in the hull and appears intact with only 582.9 hours on the meter. I do not know what its repair needs are or if it needs overhaul or replacement. Same hours should apply to the installed HamiltonJet jet drive, I do not know its condition but it appears to have been working and shows usual wear and salt water influence.
I believe this boat new cost over a quarter million dollars before armor, armaments and electronics/com gear.
Just the diesel Sea-Tek engines cost over $50K each new, not counting other components.
This boat was sold to the USA non-profit by the US Government without a data tag but I do have official paperwork going back to US Government release. I do not have a serial number on the boat (am still looking but have not had time to find it) but boat was released as pair with trailer and trailer has a full VIN number and data plate specified on the US Govt. release documents. I also have the relevant documents for the release to the USA non-profit and Texas boat registration, and chain of ownership. The trailer also has a valid Colorado title. All engines, transmissions, and jet drives still do have all original data tags and serial numbers.
This Riverine also includes a SPARE Italian Sea-Tek engine Model 6-4V-9 with 0000.4 hours on the meter which means it was only test-run at the factory. This is a brand new NOS or factory refurbished NOS Sea-Tek diesel racing engine Model 6-4V-9 which has been in storage. This was intended as the "replacement engine" for the 6-4V-10 motor still installed in the boat but the original 6-4V-10 motor might be repairable still installed, and these engines could be in the range of 725 to even 1000+ Horsepower. I do not know exact horsepower ratings, but the spare engine does turn on the crankshaft with little effort and has been stored indoors first in a shipping container by the USA non-profit previous owner and then indoors always in a heated warehouse also. There is mild corrosion on the bolt-heads but the engine is obviously new with not even 1/2 hour showing on meter and new gaskets showing and new ZF Transmission also attached. Again keep in mind these engines alone sold for over $50,000 brand new, then add about $20K for the transmission and jet drive combo!
This Riverine also includes a spare new NOS HamiltonJet Jet Drive in the event the first Jet-Drive still installed in the boat also has problems. I imagine the Jet Drive in the boat has also 582.9 hours just like the 6-4V-10 diesel engine. The new spare HamiltonJet Jet Drive should also be Zero-Time. Looks brand new on a pallat and this also was always stored indoors.
I do not have repair manuals.
I have attached many photos but omitted photos of the engine compartment with Sea-Tek Engine and Hamilton Jet Drive layout out of courtesy to our Military. Newer versions of these Riverine boats are still in use by our Special Operators, so I will not put close-ups that show the working innards of this boat. Suffice it to say from a mechanic's point of view, I think the boat is in great condition to be a fixer-upper or a full-restoration. I have not had time to get going on the restoration let alone to get her repaired and out on the water and throttle her up.
NOTE: This is a jet drive so remember the driver has no control over the boat unless it is throttled forward or in reverse-i.e. unless the boat is moving. This boat has no rudder by design and does not coast like a normal prop-driven boat with rudder. It is designed to be driven 100% of the time with extreme prejudice! (unless you are fishing engine off, of course.)
The hull is extremely solid. Looks like 1/4" thick aluminum hull and the only repaired damage was to the bow where the USA non-profit obviously bumped into something and had the bow repaired. This hull is easy to repair with aluminum plate anywhere and a TIG welder because that is how it was made. The hull has some scratches, smaller dings, no major dents other than the bow repair already mentioned, and of course the camo paint is peeling and there is usual mild salt corrosion because this boat was used in salt water in Georgia and Texas not counting its prior Military use. Inside of the hull has some minor flake corrosion I think from battery fumes, but overall the interior hull is in quite good and clean shape and is very solid. A few barnacles are still stuck there on the outside hull!
The fiberglass center console, center engine cover, decking and rear Jet Drive cover are all in quite good condition. The main engine cover lifts with electric/hydraulic lift cylinders but these are not attached and need to be repaired and refitted to the cover. One man can lift the engine cover but it would help to get these lift cylinders repaired to hold the center engine cover in the up-position even on very windy days. A few guages not used by the waterway foundation were removed, and the wiring seems good and seems like all the essential guages and switches are there. One or two gauges might need replacement. Wiring overall seems relatively clean and original.
Batteries are not leaking but likely are dead or need charging/replacement.
Trailer is a real solid monster, triple axle. This is a TILT-BOAT TRAILER! Yes the chassis hinges in front of the first axle and will tilt up like a dump truck to help launch the boat in non-traditional boat ramp situations! Super solid design and triple heavy duty axles and I have Colorado title for this trailer. This boat and trailer requires a very heavy truck to pull (Ford F550 or better I think. Tow it with your Duece 1/2!) and uses a Pintle Hitch. Very slight corrosion on leaf spring areas and rest is super good considering the trailer is coming out of Military training and use. Tires have lots of good tread on them. There is one slight bend in the upper tilt wishbone in the very front which is minor and does not affect trailer structural integrity, just looks like someone turned too tight there. There is also a tool box integrated on the trailer chassis and hydraulic pump-jack for the trailer jack.
You can see the old gun-mount bolt hole placements on the gunnels. This used to bristle with armaments including .50 calibers M2s and even Miniguns, but all armaments and armor have been removed, the boat is 100% demilitarized, so this is just a very rare boat with its racing Italian marine engine, marine transmission, jet drive, steer console and spare engine and spare jet drive and of course boat trailer and that is it.
What you see in photos is what you get in this Riverine. Anticipate a lot of repairs and you might be pleasantly surprised if it only needs a few repairs. I just do not know what it needs and if I dig into it to find out I will probably just keep the boat and restore it. (When I start projects I always finish them and right now I have only washed the boat off, stored it and nothing more!)
This is a former US Military piece of equipment and it cannot be exported and I will only sell this to a US Citizen who resides in the USA. Furthermore, I reserve the right to cancel the sale of this Riverine at any time, such as in the case of prior sale or if I suspect any "shady" dealing or evil intention that appears contrary to the USA security interests. I reserve the right to cancel the sale at any time with any buyer for any reason, so please be advised this is a purchase for someone who appreciates US Military history. I will not keep anyone's deposit in event of a canceled sale, however, but I reserve the rights mentioned.
I prefer and recommend that the buyer approach this enthusiastically as a "restoration project" and if it turns out to only need simple repairs then that is a bonus. I do not know the mechanical condition of this Riverine, and I cannot be more clear about that.
I also recommend the buyer ship this Riverine and the spare engine and spare jet drive on one flatbed semi-truck trailer just to be safe. The trailer seems fine but I have not checked the trailer brakes nor greased the trailer wheel bearings and I have not checked the trailer lights either, so I say don't risk towing but haul safely on a flatbed. I will happily crate up the engine and jet drive for shipment purposes.
Deposit of $1000 due via paypal within 24 hours of sale. Then balance via wiretransfer within 7 days.
