1) The marina where she sits now is temporary. We previously docked her at liveaboard marinas for rental purposes. Average 11-13 a foot, plus electric and $150-$200 a month liveaboard fee. All are pet friendly. Water is included. Many options for liveaboard in the area are available, but this area is generally high dollar.
2) OTR transport is difficult to find and very expensive. We found one guy with the correct trailer and he is in-demand at around $12 a mile all in. Again, she moves well on the water and I scraped hull, in water, last week.
So, we picked this up two years ago in Kentucky about 100 miles from where it was made in Tennessee. We found one transporter with the special trailer needed to haul it from its only home in a covered slip at a small reservoir to South Florida where we rented it out on AirBnb.
Of our two houseboat rentals this was far and away the biggest earner and handily paid for itself and its shipping in about 18 months, without ever leaving the dock. 2016 financials are posted with photos. The wife says this one has to go and its time for something new.
The 70hp Johnson outboard runs great and she can be sailed pretty much anywhere along the coast. It won Chive's 2016 houseboat rental of the year and has been almost constantly booked since putting her in the water.
Inverter, extra batteries and all furnishings are included. She currently sleeps four, with two twin beds in the upstairs loft. Heat and AC both work great and we are happy to include our extensive client list and support staff contacts if desired.
