For sale is my 36ft Moody sailboat.
I'am a professional boatbuilder from Australia and purchased this boat when i was living in the states last year to refurbish and keep as my own, plans have changed and i have to sell the boat. It is sold as a project boat and sold as is. The boat is located in Charleston South Carolina in a boatyard their.

There is still some work to do to make her sailing ready, but the work that has been completed already is very extensive. When I purchased the boat it had run aground, which damaged the rudder and loosened the keel. I have spent over $20 000 in materials and spent 6 months of my time getting the boat to the point it is at now.
Information on Moodys:
Based on the Moody 36 hull designed by Angus Primrose, the 36S is a fin keeled aft cockpit version by Bill Dixon, built by Marine Projects. They are well built, solid honest boats with clear decks, a safe deep cockpit and lots of light and airy accommodation and storage below. She feels very comfortable and spacious throughout. Moody sailboats are a popular choice with die hard sailers because of their shape, comfort andhandling abilities. The 36s has a three cabin layout with a v birth up fwd and two birth cabins atthe rear. Even if you were to pay the boatyard to finish the work this would still be a very sound investment.

The work that has already been completed:
-I have taken the keel right off and and refinished the entire hull by sandblasting and finishing it with epoxy
-Installed new keel bolts and refitted the keel
-Made a new rudder and rudder post (needs to be put back on).
-Installed all new plumbing and water pumps
-Refinished timber work inside and much more-Took engine out andrebuilt it, replaced;water pump, glow plugs, thermostat, heat exchanger, all filters,all hoses, all gasketsthenreinstalled engine.
Over $20,000 has been invested in the renovation as well as a couple months of my work. This boat was being refinished to be my own personal boat- all the work is top quality.
Remaining work that needs to be done:
-Standing the rigging (a few stays need replacing)
-Paint the deck (it is already sanded and ready to go)
- Buy and install oven and nav gear (it doesn't have any)-Fit the rudder-fit some skin fittings and apply bottom paint
-A few additional items I can run you through.
There are many spare parts and extra materials onboard the boat including;-Spare alternator-Spare water pump-Spare belts-Oil, water and fuel filters-Spare bilge pump and float switches-Spare water pressure pump-Lots of sand paper-Timber varnish-Oil, coolant.-Fibreglass-Much much more
Also onboard the boat are thousands of dollars worth of tools including;-Shop vac-Power drill-battery drill and driver-Angle grinder-orbital sander-Socket set-Wrench set-Heat gun-Jigsaw-Screw driver set-Tap and die set-Bag of hand toolsAnd many more.

I have hundreds of photos and videos of the work that was completed, as it sits now the engine is installed, the keel is back on, the bottom hasbeen epoxy primed ready for bottom paint.
