CHB Double Cabin Motor Yacht, TRAWLER
1982 CHB Double Cabin Motor Yacht
Description
1983 CHB Double Cabin Motor Yacht. The master stateroom is the aft cabin. The salon is mid ship and the galley is down and forward is the cabin with birth over birth. The interior is pleasant. Chung Hwa has fitted a massive amount of teak in this vessel that is finished in matte varnish. The saloon is tastefully decorated and functional. A 26" HD TV with DVD player is mounted aft end. Sofa, chairs and a coffee table make living easy. The inside steering station has all controls, gauges and electronics, duplicated on the upper bridge. The ICOM IC-M700 singleband IIF radio is installed here. The master electrical panel with l2v and 120v master switches, circuit breakers and shore power/generator selector switches is mounted into the steering panel. Down three steps forward to the saloon finds the galley to port and a dinette to starboard. The galley stove, refrigerator/freezer (also 12v), microwave, coffee maker, etc. are all l20v AC. The galley seems to be easy to work in, is quite open, and allows that person to remain in the entertainment conversations. The dinette seats four easily.
Forward again one finds the guest accommodation with an upper and lower berth to port and a head and shower and access to the chain locker. The bilge spaces below the sole are very clean and dry.
The owner's stateroom aft is commodious and attractive in decor. The head/shower area here is larger, and a small bath tub is installed!
Tradewinds is powered by two 115 hp Perkins 6.354 turbo-charged diesel engines, using Borg Warner transmissions, 2" stainless steel shafts. Onan 8 kw generator has it own starting battery.
