Used Montgomery 7'11" row/sail dinghy. This boat has the classic Montgomery lapstrake appearance but is fiberglass (white exterior, gray interior). I bought the sailboat with a white Sabot sail, but I have replaced the sail with a new cream colored sail with the "M" logo. The last pictures in the series show the Sabot sail. The boat uses a leeboard (see picts) and comes with a set of oars (only used for part of one season). Uses for this dinghy include use as a yacht tender, an attractive cottage boat, a simple sailing trainer. This is not a boat for large folks or more than two individuals. This is not a boat for competitive or all-weather sailing. The boat does not come with a trailer, but, at <8' in length, I find it fits in my pickup bed. Successful bidder must pick up the boat. The good points:
Sound hull (no leaks) and in generally good shape
New sail and battens (never been on the water yet)
Rudder and leeboard in really good shape (nice varnish, only minor chips)
Oars are nearly new (only been used for a few outings)
Generally attractive features.
The imperfections:
Outer hull has some rough patches, prior ding repairs, and small cosmetic drips or spider cracks
A functional repair was made to the support for the leeboard (on the seat) but the wood does not match that on the seats.
The oars are a bit long for my comfort and could be trimmed back.
