Purchase price with trailer - 1988 rare Mark Twain Boat Co. model 242 offshore fisherman with mercruiser I/O with re-powered with GM 5.0 Liter LX engine with only 160 hours and motor mounts were reinforced. Fresh water cooled. Stainless exhaust. Outdrive overhauled a year ago. New bellows and water inlet. Stainless edelbrock performer carburetor. Voyager marine distributor ignition system. Minnkota dual battery onboard charger. Dual batteries with switch. Just installed a brand new Garmin Striker 5DV fishfinder/sonar/gps/downview ($250). Also has a gps chart plotter with Florida chart installed. Compass. Marine radio. FM stereo and speakers. Spot lights. Plenty of storage in deck and cuddy. Oil, temp and high water alarms. Two bilge pumps. 100 gallon fuel tank. Outriggers. Just installed a New swim step with collapsable ladder ($150), a New bilge blower ( $50 ), a new hei coil ($90 ) and just installed a new remote oil filter kit to take the oil filter off of bottom of engine the engine for easy removal and less chance of filter corroding ($250). 2 bean bag chairs that fit along side engine compartment for cruising. Aluminum tower with spot lights, rod holders, horn and antennas. Designed and installed a thru transom aluminum hitch carrier for an aluminum cargo carrier to hold a large size cooler for the big catches to keep room inside the boat. Can be easily removed and hitch capped if not in use. The one thing I know does not work is a pump that supplies sea water to a hand held sink faucet in compartment at stern above transom. Spare prop and starter. No soft spots in hull, transom or deck. When I purchased the boat about 4 years ago, the cuddy windows and entry door were leaking into cabin which has a carpeted floor and a drain in it. Why carpet with a drain, I have no idea. The windows were sealed and moisture issue taken care of, but cuddy cabin floor seems to have a little flex to it. Never had an issue with it. Have been using cabin for gear storage and porta potty with no problems. It is very sturdy and never concerned me. This boat is very sea worthy and I can attest to that having survived thru a major storm that came out of no where on the ocean. I want to down size to a 20 footer and I never get to use the boat very often these days. 2010 aluminumtandem axletrailer with spare tire can hold up to a 28 foot boat.
