1999 Norsafe Fast Rescue Vessel
This unique vessel was built in Norway and served on the North Atlantic for ten year before it was returned to the USA for a complete overhaul. RV Gresskar has been used in the following activities: support for search and recovery operations, support for offshore and riverine underwater archeology projects, security vessel for regattas, training for fast rescue operations. This vessel was designed to be used in the open oceans and has capsize recovery system with a compressed air tanked linked to a self-righting lift bag in the arch structure and sealed deck system with oversized bilge pump for emptying the open cockpit. The Lowrance structure scan and side scan sonar systems have been used for search and recovery of lost items and drowning victims.
