50' Custom Dredge

Launched in 2010, the ultimate, high production shellfish dredge. It is renowned for its efficiency and ecological farming advantage. Utilizing a Venturi system eliminates using a tooth bar and trenching the bottom. Built of marine grade aluminum and stainless she is extremely stable at 50' x 17'. The current set up has her working in as deep as 27' of water. The dredge can easily be extended for more reach. She draws 18” and works in as little as 2' of water.

The venturi system is powered by a dedicated 6 cyl John Deere pump (5000 hours) with a brand new 8" to 6" Berkeley pump. The vessel is driven by a Volvo Penta D-4 (5000 hours) with a dual prop commercial outdrive.

3 conveyors lift, turn, and then reverse the product once onboard for washing and sorting. Comes with a clam sorter complete with 2 new rollers and new electronics.

The vessel fits easily in the travel lift and can be disassembled in the yard for transport. Each of the two hulls is approximately 7' wide. Separate engine pod disassembles as well.

The wheelhouse comes complete with electronics as well as heat.

She was built at a cost of over $600,000. An extremely modest reserve has been set. All reasonable offers will be considered. Deposit via papal, balance by bank check. Sold as is-where is in Branford Connecticut.
