NO RESERVE Sea Ray 340 Sundancer with 2010 Refreshed Engines FRESHWATER BOAT
1986 Sea Ray
Description
NO RESERVE AUCTION. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET A GREAT BOAT FOR A GREAT PRICE!
This is a large boat for its size with twin 454's. Aft cabin. A true 34 feet long and 11' 11" wide. The older boats do not count the swim platform or bow pulpits in their lengths as the new boats do. So you really get a 34 foot boat with more space than the new 34 foot boats.
I am sorry I do not have tons of pictures. I assure anyone looking at boat, the cabin down below is very clean. I had new marine carpet installed, the mattresses recovered, new stereo installed, etc. The bilge is nice and corrosion free since it is a lake boat. You will not be disappointed.
Since many of you are far away and bidding on boat, I had local marine Mechanic pull compression both motors last week and take boat out for a sea trial. I am happy to report that all cylinders were within approximately 5 pounds and boat ran out well for him. Compression varies by the gauge, so you are looking for uniformity. The compression reading was 125 to 130.
I purchased this boat in 2010 in Michigan and brought it to Lake Lanier. It has never seen salt water and is a TRUE FRESHWATER BOAT. I spent a good deal of money upgrading this boat so that I could take my family out on the weekends. It has been very reliable and treated us well but the kids have other things to do and we have purchased an offshore fishing boat, so this boat needs to go.
Lets start with what I have done. Fresh Bottom job June 2016, Packings repacked June 2016, The boat has had a top end valve job on both motors performed by Mercruiser trained mechanic about 150 hours ago (motors have about 1,380 total hours), remanufactured carburetors, New raised bimini top 1 year ago, new top quality marine cabin carpet 8 months ago, new cockpit interior 5 years ago, new leatherette dining seats 5 years ago, recovered mattresses 5 years ago, hoses and belts replaced, stereo 2 years ago, Belts, hoses, filter systems, MORE and MORE. The boat is maintained exclusively by a local mechanic with a captains license. When I turn the key, I go boating. I do not have time for headaches.
What does the boat need. It needs someone that wants to spend time with it. We used 4 times this year. You will want to do some deep cleaning just to put your own touches on it. Its not neglected its just is not our first priority like a boat becomes when you first get it. A little scrubbing, a high speed buff / wax (top only sides done this past June 2016..I just rant out of time), a new refrigerator...it just quit working (found NEW on internet for $650), a few light bulbs, one propeller needs to be be rebuilt (it has a few light dings in it, I currently have my spare on boat which is not a perfect match but very close) and misc light tinkering. Its not a new boat but for a boat built in 1986, it is a great platform you to create you perfect summer memory maker.
What does the boat not have? Since it was a great lakes boat, it does not have AC or a generator. I have priced it low enough so you can add air if you want. Then you will have a new air unit and not a 30 year old unit. Genny, do as you please, there are some good portables. We are day boaters and a cooler with ice was fine!
This is a very nice 1986 Sea Ray. Get is detailed back up and it will have a very nice boat. This is a ton of boat for the money.
HURRY.........This is the best older LARGE cruiser on the lake for the money!
BOAT IS FOR SALE LOCALLY, SO SELLER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION EARLY IF IT SELLS LOCALLY.
