1996 22' Stingray 659ZP/ 220CS
1996 Stingray 659ZP
Description
I bought this boat in 2012 from a boat dealer in Maine. The boat sat from 2005 until 2012 when I purchased it. The engine had just been rebuilt by the dealer I bought it from and the engine hours where 642. It now reads 800. Overall the boat is in good condition. I'll try my best to describe everything.
Engine: Rebuilt Mercruiser 5.7 fresh water cooled. Holley 600 cfm 4 barrel carb. with Edelbrock intake. New Vortec heads put on in April. Runs good. New exhaust manifolds in 2012. Holley carb was rebuilt in 2016.
Outdrive: Mercruiser Alpha gen 2. I did the bellows in 2013. There's a leak on the shifter bellows when trimmed up. I leave the boat in the water all summer with the drive down and its fine. I don't think I used enough adhesive on it. New gimbal bearing in April. Quicksilver stainless lazer 2 propeller new in 2013. Drive shower to keep drive cool. Gear lube always clean.
Cabin: Sleeps 2. Space for a porta-potti. Has a sink and a stove. The stove has never been used.
Interior: I've either redone or replaced every seat on the boat. The rear flip up cover was bought in 2014 direct from Stingray. I put a new carpet over the original this spring. It's not perfect but looks better than it did.
Covers: New cockpit cover in 2014. Boat has a bimini cover with a camper top.
Electronics: Icom marine radio new in 2012. Garmin 440s GPS/ fishfinder combo new in 2012. I started to install a new stereo system this spring but haven't finished yet. Alpine 118m receiver, Alpine 10" subwoofer under the port side seat. pair of Alpine 7" in the rear and Alpine 6 1/2 for the front. Kenwood 5 channel amp. Almost done.
Hull: The hull gets waxed twice a year and looks pretty good for a 21 year old boat. Does have nicks and scratches here and there, nothing major, nothing below water line. The bottom was last painted in 2014. New Bennet trim tabs 2015.
Trailer: EZ-Loader roller, 5600lbs. The trailer is in poor condition. Fenders rotted. No brakes. Torsion axles. I do have paperwork and it is registered.
I think I used the boat 3 times last summer and it'll be less this year. My daughter no longer cares for boating so I guess I've just lost interest in the boat. I put a lot of time and money into this boat and had many good times with it. Time to let it go. It does have some issues but what boat doesn't?I've done my best describing what has been done. Any questions just ask.Local pick up only! No delivery!
