Description
My needs have changed so up for sale is my 2008 Tahoe Q8i, the boat (for its age) is clean and in great shape. A ton of upgrades come with it and it has been well cared for during my ownership and the owner previous to me (I know him personally if you want to deep dive the boat history, he is the original owner). I am just looking to downgrade in size and cost, so that only reason to sell.... the boat runs perfectly and is in great shape.
The trailer is in great condition with power brakes, detachable nose and sound wheel wells. It's a black steel tandem trailer and is in perfect condition.
The boat comes with a ton of upgrades, some may be worth more than others to some but here are the basics.
Custom Bimini cover and boot - Some may like it others not, but down here in GA on the lake... well it's a nice thing to have.
Up to date maintenance, so yes oil changes, trim change and yes the impeller is new as well.
Bumpers, Anchors, ropes and life jackets. - I do not know when I will get a new boat so you can keep all the basics so there will be a zero cost to be on the water legally. Tons of vests, bumpers, noodles and a float or two. Plus a few custom anchor posts, brushes and cleaning supplies. Registration good for some time as well.
Dual Optima Yellow Top Batteries with Disconnect - You will never have a starting issues with these guys and you can float all day and listen to the music without a care in the world.
Newer Radio and Speakers - two year old sat./internet radio ready. Bluetooth as well with rear remote head unit control along with rear platform charging outlet.
Limited release cooking solution - Small start up company cooking solution for boaters and lake goers. Great way to save some money and grill in the water with the family (pics attached).
Props - one stainless go fast prop and one aluminum med performance prop. The alum is currently on is currently installed.
Misc - Life jackets, custom anchors, posts, utensils and just about anything you could want.
Boat Slip - I have 4 months left on my slip at lake Tobo, this will be included if bought at asking price.
Motor Code Reader - this is a tool to read codes if there is ever an issue. Most boat problems can be fixed with a little common sense and some google skills. This code reader will tell you what is wrong when you have an issue. It will give you a starting place to troubleshoot instead of paying $95 an hour for boat diagnostic. This tool is $600 retail and will be included if bought for asking price.
This boat is in perfect mechanical shape with a small issue on the starter (it works fine but could be replaced. It's fine without but the price is adjusted to have it replaced if the new owner wishes).
As for exterior conditions... yes it has scratches and some wear, it's a 10+ year old boat. It does not show its age but it's not in new show room condition. This has been taken into account when formulating a asking price so please do not try to negotiate based upon that. The boat is in sound condition and while it does have some blemishes and scratches it is clean and presents well.
Also included is a custom made coat cover with racketing straps and tie downs. I also recently installed a keel guard which will allow you to beach the boat for the most part without any wear to the clear coat or fiberglass. It was a $250 option and I installed it but our shop charges $250 to install so that is a $500 or so upgrade.
Interior wise, well once again it's 10 or so years old. Some of the vinyl dash components show the wear, but the gauges look brand new. The seats do have some staines but nothing that is worrisome. If someone with some elbow grease and time they could get 98%+ of the stains out if they wanted.
I bought it a few years back and it has been great, I'm not in a rush to sell so I'd rather wait to find the right person to take on the responsibility than to make a quick buck and watch this amazing machine get abused. I am also open to a cash plus pontoon trade. I'm not looking for a $20k or so pontoon but if you had a 2000+ pontoon in good condition and some cash then I would be open to a trade. Just to be clear I would still want $10-20k in cash and $5-$10k retail pontoon trade.
As much as I hate to do it, it's time to part ways with an amazing machine and look towards a new toy to call mine.
Feel free to text or email with questions, I will take calls but prefer not too unless I find a serious buyer. The boat is in the water so it can be water tested once an interested buyer is identified.
