Wellcraft 26' Aft Cabin, Volvo Penta Engine & Outdrive, Loadmaster Trailer, NR!!

Description

Up for auction is a 1985 Wellcraft 26' Aft Cabin with a 1995/1996 5.8 L Volvo Penta (built by Ford) engine / Duoprop outdrive and Loadmaster trailer. I bought this boat from an older gentleman who could not use it anymore due to health issues. The boat itself could best be described as a project since it is in need of work. I was told at the time of my purchase that the engine and outdrive have less than 100 hours on them. Both the engine and outdrive seem to be in very good condition. The exterior of the hull seems to be in very good condition but the interior is in need of a work. The following is a list of known areas of needed repairs / replacement:

• The drivers chair and bench seat outside of the cabin have been removed due to deteriorated wood / cracks in the vinyl and will require replacement.
• The door leading inside of the cabin is missing due to deteriorated wood. In addition, the exposed wood around the door frame and instrument cluster are in need of replacement.
• The rear swim deck is in need of replacement due to cracks / damage from age. The bolts that attach the swim deck to the hull appear to be too small which has caused it to become loose.
• There is a soft spot on the floor inside the cabin at the base of the stairs which will require repair.
• Deteriorated wood located inside the engine compartment will need to be repaired / replaced.

Most all electrical components were removed prior to my purchase but the trim tabs and outdrive up / down both operate properly. The Loadmaster trailer is also in very good used condition. I am only selling because of a new addition coming to my family so I no longer have the time / funds to spare. This is a NO RESERVE auction and I'm quite sure the engine and trailer alone are worth more than the starting bid. Winning bidder of this auction will get a very good foundation / deal to build upon including a 26-foot fiberglass hull, engine, outdrive and trailer but the above stated issues will need attention.
