2011 YAMAHA AR240 HO
Trailer included
Hello. For sale is my 2011 Yamaha AR240. This is a great boat, with upgrades, absolutely no mechanical issues!! If you are looking for a 24' Yamaha jet boat, you know this is a steal. You would probably tack on at least an additional 20K if you were to buy the 2016/2017 model of this boat. Remember, no sales tax for private party boat purchases in Minnesota; this could save you thousands.
You can find brochures, spec sheets, and all the info you need on the internet on this boat. This is a Yamaha jet boat, and is very unique compared to the other manufacturers. Please do your research. It has DUAL ENGINES with jet propulsion; no prop to worry about. This thing screams on the water!!!! I think they advertise a top speed of 55MPH. Included with the boat is the Yamaha trailer. This Yamaha package is great for serviceability, being that the boat, engines, and trailer are all on manufacturer, Yamaha. With the right financing, you could get into this boat for ~$300/month, zero down. That's what I did. These boats retain their value!
So. . . The boat is in storage. I am in favor of showing the boat if someone is seriously interested in it, but I can't accommodate tire kickers at the moment, as I have to arrange access with the guy that stores it. More than likely I will be taking it out of storage soon, as spring is here! I am located down the road from Lake Minnetonka, so once it’s at my house, it should be no problem if someone wants to drop the boat in the water.
Being that it is in storage, and I can't check, I want to say it has about 60 hours on it, probably less. I bought it last year with 45, and didn't use it all that much. It is not a brand new boat, but overall it is in excellent shape. I did a few things to the boat before I dropped it in the water last year.
Here are some of the things I added, along with the boat’s features:
Throttle syncro device from jetboatpilot
Dual battery with switch, so you don't have to worry about running out of juice
Subwoofer
Set of thrust vectors from jet boat pilot
New lettering
New bilge pump that operates off both batteries
Power port for USB power & aux in order to plug in your phone or ipod
Custom made one piece snap on boat cover. If you are going to slip this boat, this cover is a must! This cost me $1,000 alone.
Yamaha aluminum wake tower
Wakeboard racks
Cruise assist – aka Cruise control
Snap in marine-grade carpet
Removable Dinette Table with Pedestal (Mounts at Cockpit & Stern)
Bow Filler Inserts for Multiple Seating Configurations
Integrated Drink Holders
Adjustable Captain's Chair with Flip-up Bolster
Glove Box Lockable
Walk-through Bow Door
Enclosed Head Compartment (not equipped w/ head) w/ Light
Tilt Steering
Courtesy Deck Lighting
Dedicated Anchor and Rope Locker
Bow Reboarding Ladder
If you were like me, a new Yamaha 240 (or 242) was out of my price range. This is one heck of a boat for the price. I can even include some lifejackets, ropes, and bumpers. Everything you’ll need to get out on the water on day 1. The pics are from last spring prior to me dropping it in the water. The boat is in the same condition with the exception of water stains along the bottom due to it sitting in the water all summer. This can be cleaned & buffed out. I usually do this every other year to my boats.
