2006 Bayliner 185 BR Runabout PROJECT BOAT *NEEDS BLOCK
2006 Bayliner
Description
You are bidding on a 2006 Bayliner 185 BR with trailer that while lovingly taken careof (believe it or not) ANDHAS NEVER BEEN IN SALT WATER!, was victimized by asupposed "winter storage" from a Marina that let's just say is having their day in court.
Here's the bad news:
1) There is a supposed slight crack in the block. Though the boat fires and comes up to temperatureand everything and even has compression. There seems to be no compression in the cooling system and so somehow water is getting into the oil. There was no water found anywhere else. Pistons and all engine components are perfect. So in other words the boat was running perfect before it was stored and hasn't run under this new found condition. This was discovered during a recent Summarize.
2) The seats and cushions will need to be recovered.
4) The starboard side windshield needs to be replaced.
Here's the good news:
1) If you are good with boats or motors you can find a reman block for short money and swap all the components over as they are in excellent shape and unharmed.
2) There is a place is Florida called CopyCat covers that will do all the seat recovering for around $1000. Or if you know someone or want to do it yourself it should be fairly easy.
3) Everything else works fine (except radio) and this boat is a lot of fun, I just rarely get to use it and it has been sitting in storage.
4) Trailer works great, all the parts were recently replaced.
