Quality offshore fishing machine combines excellent deck layout with roomy, interior, top-notch finish. Fishing features include 30-gallon live well, two in-deck fish boxes, bait-prep station with two sinks, tackle drawers, dual washdowns, transom door. Efficient interior has enclosed head with shower, twin berths, compact galley. Wide walkways provide safe passage to bow. Unsinkable hull construction,excellent non skid, Boston Whaler refers to its boat and hull construction as a "fiberglass sandwich". That's because of the foam-filled layers of Unibond. By injecting foam under pressure into the voids between hull and deck, bonding to each surface, creating a one-piece boat. This has a by-product of the boat being so quiet underway that it sounds like you're in a much larger boat. It's hard to make out any water noise against the hull.
INFORMATION ON CONDITION
Per the Owner: This 2003 Boston Whaler 290 has been completely serviced and maintenance performed. The seller just had a recent informal survey 4/ 2019 recently found some moisture near the PORT rub rail and also in certain areas of the transom. The surveyor found NO soft spots. A 3/8 hole was drilled in two areas and no water or moisture was evident.
Owner states that Motors were scoped and found clear of any exhaust issues in 2012. Owner also has a detailed Engine report of electronic analysis showing Hours & RPM usage during engine life.
The boat was used most of its life in the great lakes by a former Naval commander who took retired Naval vets out on regattas. The engines have roughly 700 hours of which only 200 are over 1,200 rpm’s. The upholstery looks to be in good shape. All equipment appears to be operational and ready to fishing with its new owners.
