We are selling our much loved and sturdy Dual Helm 1978 Carver Voyager 3326. We have downsized our new boat a bit to match our needs. The things we loved about the carver are the flat surfaces from the aft to the additional helm station below. while working the Downriggers and fishing gear there is no traversing stairs or entryways. The large patio style sliding door makes this a joy for any sportsman. We are including the Downriggers with the sale.
We enjoyed the oversized refrigerator, which means you don't have to bring ice every time you go to the boat. It has room for all your groceries. In the kitchen there is also an electric stove and with three burners, a broiler and an oven.
The bench seating at the expandable Kitchen table provides an additional sleeping (We have these cushionstoo) area and tons of counter space. we used it for family gaming and comfortable dining.
The Boat has Twin OMC GM 350 cuEngines that run clean and idle like a dream. Recent upgrade are HEI Ignition, whichadds reliability; lowered consumption, and HP. The advantages to chevy350 engines are obvious; mechanicsare experienced with them, Parts are easily found and reasonablypriced. Belts, and filters are found at Walmart!
Thru hull exhaust, provides a nice rumble without silencing any conversation.
Twin "V" Velvet drive (Serviced recently by skipper buds).
Easy winter storage, completed by using the installed Exhaust Manifold Engine Block Water drain Petcock Valves. Just open the valveswith the twist of the hand and drain the water. Re-fill with environmentallysafe coolant and away you go. This saves on maintenance, time, costs and adds value. Blow the water lines with a compressor. Drain the Sea Strainerfor the AC/Heat. Bingo!
The Chaise style seating at the upper helm adds more comfort. Docking is a breeze with the unobstructed views provided by the operationalupper helm (I use the inside lower helm, so I can help with the lines). The powerful motors in combination with the low idle make docking, even in tight gas dock/pump-outs easy.
She has no bathroom odor. I installed a new Hot Waterheater last season. The stand-up shower is a refreshing way to clean up on your weekend excursions.
I installed the surged carpet and all new handmadenautically themed Curtains recently.
Also included, a new Three layer Foam Mattress in the forwards berth which has a wooden door for privacy, and a separatecontrol forthe workingAC/Heat.
All Beautifullydetailed Maple wood trim and panelling inside. Doors are Polished maple.
The upper helmhas a good Bimini top and windshield/privacy cover. We had them made new since we have owned the boat (Starting in 2012).
There once was a full canvas cover with Isinglassfor the upper helm, but a storm ruined it. We do not have the Upper enclosure, and simply remove the bimini top to use the upper helm (Roll it up to the front, then roll it back when done).
Inside the spacious main area, we had mounted a TV across from the sturdy steel framed pull out couch. When the Metal blinds are closed and the curtains drawn, you have complete privacy. There is ample lighting with the many 12v overhead lighting lamps.
