For sale and in search of the perfect owner. This boat, the Ishtar runs great and is just in need for some tender love and care. The boat has been kept on a lift the past 10 years, the propellers were just serviced and in pristine condition, and the two engines have just over 600 hours on it, starts right up every-time, gasoline engines. Overbuilt in the late 60s this boat will last another 100 years. Some work on the interior to make the quarters more modern would go a long way. Painting and staining on the exterior with some work on trims and fixtures and wiring. Mechanically it is in great condition. Selling as is, free local pickup and is located on the Potomac River, in Alexandria, VA. Can negotiate pick up time, located on private dock and lift. In 2006 the 1997 fuel injected Mercruiser 7.4s (340 shaft hp) were pulled to rebuild the engine room. Work included (all done by one of Maines top yards): Engine room/lazarette painted; new 5kw Westerbeke generator with new exhaust system, Parker fuel lines, and wiring; upgraded 5 exhaust systems for main engines; new Parker fuel lines and wiring; Racor fuel filter system installed for all engines; engine stringers rebuilt with mahogany, epoxy and aluminum channel; larger 1.5 ss shafts, shaft logs and dripless shaft seals fitted; new 12vdc engine room switches, wiring and sealed batteries. In addition, the mechanical steering system was removed and replaced with a commercial grade hydraulic system, new DQX Nibral 4-blade props were fitted, and she got a new head. Recent a/c system with digital control. Recent Garmin GPS and VHFs. CC trim tabs.

Boat was bought in 2009 after being fully revamp, previous owner before us invested a lot of money. I did not take adequate care of her and she is looking for a good home and some one to bring her back to her original glory or enjoy as is.

The biggest things mechanically to repair:

AC water pump may need to be replaced or line cleared out to water

Generator carburetor will need to be worked on, generator turns over but does not run.

Besides that she is in perfect running condition does not overheat, needs cosmetic repair from someone willing to give her TLC!
