For sale is what I believe be a true Magnum Missle based on research I conducted. It has the bow opening for the wood insert, side inserts (although someone filled them in at some point), has the hole (also filled in at one point) where the side shifter was mounted like the brochure picture, and the original color appears to be tangerine (one of the original 4 colors these boats were made in). The fuel fill location threw me off a little but matches another brochure picture for a Magnum.
The boat has a title but is listed as a 1976 with a NJ assigned hull number. I can see traces of where the original magnum foil sticker that contained the hull id number was but it is no longer readable.
The trailer appears to be of the same vintage and is a custom fit for the tunnel hull. I do not have paperwork for the trailer but it is included with the sale of the boat. One tire has a small leak, lights are broken or missing and it will probably need wheel bearings.
As far as condition the boat is in bad shape, someone did a poor job at cutting out the transom and splitting the hull. It will need a complete restore. I just wanted to provide an opportunity for a purist to bring this boat back to life.
I have the boat listed for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
Thanks and Happy Bidding!
