(please note the boat has an Industrial Grade Steering System fitted using Bevel gears from wheel to below deck, then 1 inch iron rod thru 2 Universal Joints to a Large Worm and Peg Gearbox, then 1 inch iron rod to top of rudder post. All accessible).
IT NEEDS …...
The engine and gearbox were professionally fitted in 2004. It cost $6500. They have always run reliably but have been in storage for 3 years. I think the starter motor has seized but otherwise everything looks OK. There are 2 accessible bolts for the starter motor and a replacement, (if necessary) costs about $100.
The engine is very accessible and oil changes are very easy.
Updated Instrumentation
I would replace the existing Plexiglas windows with Tinted Polycarbonate (Lexan/Makralon). The windows are frameless and bold directly onto the Fiberglass.
*The Genoa sail has never been fitted. It has a 6mm bolt rope (will fit the Roller Reefing) but may have to be re-cut to fit Luff Length. Alternatively just buy a new Genoa and keep existing as Spare.
New Batteries.
All wiring has been replaced to marine grade, but needs a general tidy-up behind the fuse panel. Its all there and accessible but messy.
Its well built and solid. It sails very well and is comfortable with an easy motion. Many have circumnavigated the Globe and they have an excellent reputation for being well built and safe.
This boat was made for crossing oceans.
This boat is priced to sell quickly. Someone is going to get a real bargain!
