Please keep in mind this is a PROJECT BOAT, it is a worthwhile project for the right person, she is being sold as is where is. See pictures for condition and feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I feel this is a great deal for someone motivated to complete this project.
She has already completed 1 circumnavigation, she is a strong and capable blue water cruiser, with twinned center cockpit helm and internal wheel steering. She was my dream boat but a cross country move means I can't get it finished.
The steel hull means that this boat can go anywhere. It can support itself fully on its keel. If you bump a dock, no problem. Best of all, every country in the world has an accessible welder so, good as new repairs are easily sourced.
Before launching, these repairs are needed:-Hull repairs finished (I have a quote to finish the welding at $2,000. and to blast and epoxy coat the hull for $1,400. I will provide contact info for the service providers to the buyer.)-Some electrical rewiring (small fire in the bow)-Below deck forward woodwork rebuilt (small fire in the bow)-Fuel tank installed (new tank included with sale)
Good:-Standing rigging is in excellent condition.-Perkins 4236 engine is in good running condition, was rebuilt 900 hours ago (2,500 hours since new)-Batteries are good-Running rigging is all there but I would replace it before I put her in the water.-USCG documented vessel-New forward deck hatches (NIBO Offshore)
Included equipment:-All steel needed to complete hull repairs.-Moeller 63 gallon polyethylene Fuel Tank (new, not installed).-Good batteries, included but not installed, Bank 1: 2x 6V 370A, Bank 2: 1x 12V 210Ah-Good usable sails: Storm Jib, Working Jib, Mizzen-Radar-Main Anchor & All Chain Rode-Spare Anchor & Rode-Forward Cooler-Galley Stove-Electrical Mini Fridge-Spare Injector Pump-Everything else aboard. Many other spare parts and tools
When the boat was last in the water (2012) the engine was in good running condition. The last time it was run was probably 3 yrs ago. We had issues with the original fuel tank which is located in the keel. The problem was water was coming in from the top (interior plate) of the keel in bilge. We pulled this off pumped the tank and re sealed the plate, but it was still leaking water. So we removed the freshwater galvanized tanks and got a new poly fuel tank to install in their place.
The deck is 1/8" steel, the freeboard is 3/16", the hull below water line is 1/4" and the keel is 3/8". Boat includes electrical and mechanical plans. The original builder, Patrice Elmer, was from Nice France. He sailed it here and sold the boat to the previous owner.
Storage will be paid until then end of the calendar month at which point you can either continue paying or move her. Monthly storage is $250 per month. She is currently located in Middle River, Maryland not far from Baltimore. Work can be done in the yard. Welding can only be done during the warmer months.
OTHER INFO:-All repairs were due to corrosion from the inside. Water had pooled in the bilges and in a places above the internal ribs.-Draft is 6 ft. Displacement is 11.3 Tons.
