1970 Macgregor Venture 24 Sailboat

Description

Interior has recently been redone. Painted, Varnished, newly covered cushions, deep cleaned. Cargo nets inside for stowage. Tons of stowage under the cockpit accessible from inside.Convenient spots for drink and food coolers. Coolers included. 5 Berths.Dinette converts to a double berth. Typical double Vee and pilot berth to port.

Exterior could use some cosmetic woodwork, maybe paintbut cleans up nice.One cabin windowis cracked.Newly built mahogany forward hatch. the boat is on trailer and covered with a heavy duty vinyl Tarp.

The Engine is a 1969 evinrude 6hp fisherman short shaft model 2stroke. It needs a pull start cord and after sitting a season maybe a carb cleaning. The motor ran great when last used. Runs off a 50:1fuel oil mix in a6gallon metal tank with good fuel line and primer bulb.

Newly rebuilt swing keel. Electric winch for raising and lowering. Will need a battery to operate. newly machined roller and bolt for the keel cable.

Bottom was thoroughly sanded and barrier coated along with 2 coats of hard ablative bottom paint. Paint is still in great condition.

The rig is in good working order with 6 sails, four of which are newer. 2 person mast raising gear included. Alsocomes withan 11lb bruce clawanchor and 4lb Danforth with 100' anchor line and 10' chain.

The Trailer is in working order as well. All it needs is a grease cap. Bearings and Tires were replaced new less than two years ago with just one trip to door county 200Mi. round tripon them.

I've had a blast with this boat and put lots of time and money into making her sailable and liveable down below. This is a lot of boat and equipment for the money!
