Macgregor 24 VENTURE Project Sailboat of unknown year. No HIN (hull identification numbers)This is a "project" boat meaning it is not in sailing condition as it will need some work and the addition of some hardware and a jib to get it back into sailing condition. I have too many "project" boats and not enough time to modify them as I had intended so giving them away for what I consider "basic" values to me for item I would keep or part out if I scrap the boats.
The boat will make a fine "starter" project or floting camper shell or put it in your back yard and play "Castaway" as a party piece, "man cave", dog house, or whatever fantasy you might have. .
1..The 24 FT 6 INCH fiberglass hull and deck are in good condition. Comes with all fiberglass hatches. The interior is striped and will need work and modifications to your specks. No deck soft spots. No stantions. No hull damage. Some deck mounted hardware.
2..A 600 lb. LEAD swing keel and keel winch unit for raising and lowering the keel. BTW; most all MacGregors come with steel keels, but this one is lead and DOESN'T RUST!!!
3..Original Macgregor trailor in good condition. It will need work done on the lights although they are there. Additionally the tire are there and hold air for moving, but new tires should be purchased if you are taking it on a long journey. Has Bearing Buddies. Comes with trailer winch and trailer jack. Has a 2 inch ball hitch and safety chain. Has running lights in unknown condition.
4..Aluminum mast with most of the Standing rigging. No halyards. Has deck mounted Stainless mast base.
5...Boom with mainsail in good condition with minor stains on sail.
6...Rudder and tiller.
7...Interior V-birth cusions and one settee cushion in fair condition.
8...Two old style cockpit-sheet winches and handle.
9...Misalanious deck hardware.
10..Bow mounted pulpit, chalks, running light, and cleat.
Do NOTE that I have two identicle boats available. This one is as you see it and the other is just a bare hull and listed under sailing parts.
Boat and trailer are sold in "as is, where is" conditions.Boat and trailer come with a "Bill of Sale" only.
I am able to deliver the boat at a rate of one dollar per mile one way according to mapquest distance calculator and prior arrangements are made after sale. Do contact me prior to auction end about delivery as it is limited.
