Description

For sale is a traditional British type inshore fishing boat built of glued- lapstrake wood construction. The hull, decks and frames are all fabricated from the highest grade marine plywood ( 100% rotary cut Sapele ) which is an African Mahogany species. They carry all the appropriate ratings ( BS 1088, Lloyd's ) as shown in the accompanying photos. The stringers are clear Spanish Cedar, bench and deck supports clear Doug.fir and thwarts/trim are of African and Honduras Mahogany.
Having the hull strakes epoxy fastened means she is perfectly happy sitting out of water indefinitely without suffering any drying effects, and has been garage-kept since her build. I would recommend this method for future storage, and if stored outside, a proper waterproof cover made for her. A small outboard well is let into the after deck and a Minn-Kota trolling motor ( included ) fits in nicely and provides all day propulsion via two group 27 deep cycle batteries. A pivoting wooden centerboard ( lead weighted ) allows for easy launch/recovery from most any ramp. The draft( board up) is about 8" and down about 40".
I had an aluminum mast from an old sailboat that I cut down and used on this boat and works fine, although not very traditional looking. The sail is also a non-traditional lug which is cut and sewn from white polytarp. This was to act as a pattern for a proper sail, but has worked and held up so well I'm still using it. Included are the original plans ( Selway Fisher ) which have two different sail plans for other rigging options.
She sits on a road worthy Cox trailer with removable light bar. The trailer is not titled, the boat is.
I would prefer a local pickup to allow buyer to inspect everything.
