14' Aerocraft Aluminum fishing boat, Johnson 15HP and trailer.
1958 Aerocraft Aluminum "V" Hull
Description
This boat was made by a company known as Aerocraft. Aerocraft built some of the finest aluminum boats. Before boats Aerocraft built bombers for World War II. After the war they used the same technology for the boats. This boat was made right about 1958. I have owned it for three years and used it a lot up at the Chain-O-Lakes. There is absolutely no leaks in the boat. I did the repaint about 3 years ago and as you can see it is still nice and not peeling. That is as close as I could get to the original color. I even had new Brand New "Aerocraft" placards made fpr each side. The boat is very light at 110 pounds making it a very easy tow. I replaced some of the fishing seats, and had added bow, stern, and galley lights. However the wires need looling at or the switch box toggle switches may have let the weather get to them. I had a tractor battery in the back of the boat to power the lights and a fish locator, The fish locator that is in the boat might work, but I dont know much about them so I bought a Lowrane Elite-4 HDI. I was going to sell it seperate, but it will be included with this package. The trailer is a homemade Wisconsin trailer so there is no title. I never used the option but the trailer does have the tip up release to make loading and launching easier if needed. I did replace the trailer tires and they have maybe 500 miles on them. The motor is a 1983 Johnson outboard. It has always started within 3 pulls. It is marked 9.9 as the previous owner used it out on Lake Shabbona, and they only allow up to 10HP, however it is a 15HP. The previous owner was also a Engineer for Johnson-Evinrude in Wisconsin.I have some rod holder that are new as I planned to set it up as a musky trolling boat. It also has a fire extinguisher in the back. The boat does have a Illinois title and registration. Asking $1175, and will ll include the Lowrance Elite-4HDI Fish locator (new in the package) . Any questions just email me. My name is Rob, and my son is Joey, so might get either one replying.
