Colombia 26 MKII
1970 Colombia 26MKII
Description
PRICE GREATLY REDUCED FOR QUICK SELL!!! This is a rare and classic Bill Trip design, built in 1970 by Colombia. Indeed a solid, strong, overbuilt vessel, yet very easy to sail as well as fast. I have raised my two sons on this ship for 9 years. She has been out in 40+knot winds with waves 16-18 foot and sliced through like it was nothing! Very well appointed with 2 burner alcohol stove, huge ice box, stainless sink with 20 gal. fresh water tank, nice head with large holding tank, separate sink in head with lake draw. More room inside than other sail boat in its size range. Sails are almost new, with single reef on main and 150 Genoa, plus a storm jib, also has an extra main and fore sail that are in pretty good shape. Main sail easily rolls around spinning boom for quick reefing or dropping. Only selling because my boys keep growing and we are in need of a larger vessel to live on. Again, this is one of the best ships in this size range, can out sail any other and take more weather than most people would even be caught in!! I'm the third owner and really would love to keep this ship forever, but finances won't allow that dream. Oh yes it has a solid, reliable 8hp Evinrude extra long shaft, cock pit mounted engine with very little hours as we only use it to get in or out of rivers and occasionally a slip. Serious inquiries only. This will be a cash deal handled through a very reputably Marina. Truly a real Sailor's dream ship. Slip in Cheboygan, MI Available if desired.
